The 2025 Baird Bourbon Cup will be our 3rd annual tournament in support of the Tom Sawyer State Park Foundation. Baird Private Wealth Management has entered into a multi-year partnership with the Tom Sawyer State Park Foundation to create Kentucky’s premier pickleball tournament. This round robin format leading into bracket play will feature the region’s top players with proceeds benefiting the Tom Sawyer State Park Foundation. The tournament will be held outdoors at the 16 designated pickleball courts at EP Tom Sawyer State Park June 6-8th, 2025

Friday June 6th OPEN Mens, Womens, Mixed Doubles Qualifier (if necessary), Mens & Womens Doubles Skill & Age (50 & above) and (60 & above), Juniors Singles & Doubles

Saturday June 7th- Mens & Womens Doubles, Mixed Doubles Skill & Age (60 & above)

Sunday June 8th- Mixed Doubles Skill & Age, Mixed Doubles Skill & Age (50 & above),

Juniors (18 & under) Mixed Doubles

COST OF THE TOURNAMENT -

**Each event: $15

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY:

Players must be paid and have a registered and paid partner to be confirmed. Players not paid and without registered and paid partners will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY:

Once registration has closed (May 27th 11:59pm), any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement partner must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Players can play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to the registration contact (pklville@yahoo.com) by 6pm the day before you are scheduled to play. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.

Please note that if you are playing in a doubles event and your partner does not register within 7 days of when you register, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Your spot will not be saved in the main event just because half of your team registered and paid. If (after you are both registered and paid for the event), there is room in the main event, you will be moved back to the main event. If the event has filled up in the meantime, you will remain on the waitlist until a spot opens up.

*The event has the right to shorten match formats at any time and especially if weather poses scheduling delays.

Round Robin with Playoffs:

4 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for seeding of teams.

5 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.

6 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.

7 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.

8 teams: 2 pools of 4. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.

9 teams: 1 pool of 4, 1 pool of 5. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.

10 teams: 2 pools of 5. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.

11 teams: 1 pool of 5, 1 pool of 6. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.

12 teams: 2 pools of 6. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.

Tournament organizers possess the right to combine events based on either skill or age to provide the best overall playing experience, given the circumstances. Game format will depend on the number of registered players/teams in each division.

Brackets/Pools seeded by APP/PPA points and/or DUPR Rating.

Events may be merged by age or skill based on number of registrations.

Registering for this tournament means you accept that this may happen.

Awards

First, second, third place medals awarded in each bracket.

Rules

This tournament adheres to the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) Rulebook.

Paddles must be on the approved paddle list.

CANCELLATION DEADLINE: Sunday May 18th, 2025

Refunds (minus a $25 withdrawal fee) will be given if you have to withdrawal or cancel.

Open Division entry preference will be based on individual player ratings.

Prize money for Open division will be as follows:

Gold-$1300

Silver-$800

Bronze-$400

Minimum TBD teams for full payout. Payouts are adjusted accordingly.
