BATTLE AT THE BEACH in York, Maine -- This pickleball tournament offers a fun competition with divisions for all levels, from beginners to advanced. Enjoy like-level competition knowing that 100% of your registration fees support the YCSA and York High School Athletic Boosters. The tournament welcomes everyone, from those entering their first tournament up to those who have played tournaments for years.

We will be playing on 10 outdoor courts at York High School. York High School has plenty of parking and is located steps from Long Sands Beach, in the beautiful oceanfront town of York, Maine. What a fabulous weekend getaway just over an hour from Boston and offering 4 beaches in York alone plus explore Ogunquit, Wells, and Kennebunkport just minutes up the highway! Easy for locals in our community as well as a fun weekend getaway for those looking to visit the seacoast of Maine... day trip it or make a weekend of it!

SATURDAY, SEPT 21st: Men and Women - 4.0 and above @ 8:30am and 3.5 and under at 1pm

SUNDAY, SEPT 22nd: Mixed - 4.0 and above @ 8:30am and 3.5 and under at 1pm

$70.00 Registration Fee for your first tournament event. Each additional event is $10. Register based on your age and skill level.

Tournament Format:

*Events with 9+ Teams: Teams will be divided into two or more seeded pools, and the top two teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine medal winners.

*Events with 8 Teams or Less: Round Robin for events with a small number of teams.

*Skill Level: For doubles and mixed doubles, you must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner. Players with a PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with a USAPA UTPR rating but no PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with neither rating may self-rate. Ratings will be verified when registration closes. The tournament reserves the right to move players and teams between skill-level brackets/events.

*Registering Together As A Team (TIP) : For a guaranteed spot in mixed doubles or doubles, the second partner must sign up within 3 days of the first partner's registration. Incomplete teams will be moved to the waiting list after that. Once the second partner registers, they will be moved back into the event IF THERE ARE SPOTS LEFT IN THE TOURNAMENT AND THE EVENT.

Safe Tournament Environment:

* Spectators must sit in designated viewing areas. You are welcome to bring your own chair etc.

* Spectators will be permitted at the facility during the events.

Food & Beverage:

* Snacks and water will be available for purchase on-site.

* Players are welcome to bring their own food and snacks.

*Refunds minus a $10 processing fee for withdrawals from the tournament up through September 13th.

*Replacement Players/Subbing* Entry fees may be transferred to a replacement player/sub of similar skill level at any time up through the morning of the event.

For Example: A player won’t be able to attend the tournament but has a replacement/sub. Can the replacement/sub take my spot? Yes, only if the player is of a similar level, then she or he can take your spot for tournament play; payment would need to be worked out amongst yourselves.

*Refunds will be processed after the tournament is over.

*If the tournament is canceled for any other reason, players will receive 50% of their initial payment.
