Welcome, Picklers!

After a one-year absence, the Battle of the Paddle pickleball tournament is back and will be held from Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24 at the Pinetree Community Centre in Coquitlam, BC.

As indicated above, Registration will be handled by Pickleball Brackets and opens Feb 1, 2022, at 9:00 AM

Unless we combine or cancel events due to a low number of teams in particular events, event brackets will be:

Men’s and Women's Singles

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 on Friday, April 22

Men’s and Women’s Doubles

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5. and 5.0 on Saturday, April 23

Mixed Doubles

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 on Sunday, April 24

We will be using the Onix Fuse ball generously provided by Onix Canada.

Doors to the gymnasium will open at 3:15 p.m. on Friday and at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Plan to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the start of your event to allow time for check-in, warm-up and to prepare for your first match.

Spectators are welcome to attend. Masks are optional.

Enter as a team and make sure your partner registers within one day of you registering or you will automatically be removed from the event and put on the waitlist. Priority will be given to full teams. If you are on the waitlist, and your partner registers, you will be added to the event provided there is space.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER

1. All registrants must have a valid Pickleball Canada Membership to play in this tournament. Please ensure your Pickleball Canada Membership number and your skill level are up to date in your pickleballbrackets.com profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://pickleballcanada.org/

2. In order to register for this tournament you must have a Pickleball Brackets Account.

3. For payment, you will need to have a Coquitlam Parks & Recreation account with a credit card attached to the account. If you already have an account, make sure there is a valid credit card attached to it. If you can't remember if you have an account, call the registration line at 604-927-4386 to check.
