Please join us for the Mound Park Pickleball Club's 2nd Annual Battle of the Paddles. The tournament will be held on 18 beautiful courts. We are raising money for the Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) Cancer Center Compassion Fund. This is a memorial tournament, and players are encouraged to email a photo of an individual they would like to play "in memory of “ or “ in honor of". This is not limited to cancer loss. The photos will be displayed in a lanyard, and the player will pick up the lanyard at check-in. Please email your photo to arnzenm@somc.org and include your name and the name of the person in the picture.
This is a one-day tournament, Sunday, September 7, 2025, with an 8:00 am start time (participants may warm up beginning at 7:30 am). The tournament will feature men's and women's doubles play. The tournament format will be Round Robin with skill divisions of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+. All teams will then play in a single-elimination bracket. The round robin will be used as seeding for the bracket play. Lunch, snacks, fruit, and drinks will be provided for players on the day of the tournament.
There will be a social event on Saturday, September 6, from 6-8 pm with open play and free pizza for the players. This will be an excellent time to meet the players and get a feel for the courts. Bring your own drinks.
We will have a cash-only split-the-pot the day of the event.
The tournament director reserves the right to combine brackets and change format based on registration numbers.
Each player needs to sign up individually. Registration is $45.00 plus the Pickleball Brackets software fee of $5.00 for the event. Your spot is not guaranteed for the event until both partners are registered and paid in full.
T-shirts are available for purchase ($25.00) and will be distributed at check-in on the day of the event. The link for the t-shirt order will be posted soon!
