We are so excited to begin the Beat the Heat 2022 tournament!!

Here is some information you will find helpful

Know the schedule- you can find it on the tournament site in pickleballbrackets.com

Check in at the front desk no later than 30 min prior to the start of your bracket

At check in you will pick up the bracket instructions for your bracket and map of facility. Read it carefully as we will not hold a bracket meeting.

Novice brackets will have a bracket meeting in the area near Gym 5. Please report to that area 15 min before the start of your bracket to receive instructions.

Court monitors will be in each gym to assist you and make sure you have scorecards, answer questions, and return scorecards to the score table.

Warm ups will take place mostly in Gyms 3 and 4. Make sure you have warmed up prior to the text you receive for first match assignment, at which time you will find that court and begin first match. This text will come in approx. 10 min before match should start so you will not have time to warm up when you get to that court

Draws will be available Thursday evening on the tournament site

“So you think you can dink” competition on Saturday at 6pm. WDS and MDS brackets. Sign up at check in or when you arrive no later than 6pm Sat.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the check in desk- one ticket is $5 or 3tickets for $10. You can also get tickets by spending $25 at a vendor- one ticket for each $25 spent

Welcome to our first annual "Beat the Heat Challenge" at North Augusta's Riverview Park Activities Center.

We have several gyms with pickleball court markings and temporary nets to offer a number of bracket opportunities. All gyms are air-conditioned and restrooms/concessions are available.

This year's schedule is:

Mens and Womens doubles 60+ brackets Friday all-day August 12

Mens and womens singles all ages/skills Friday evening August 12

Mens and womens doubles in 16+ and 40+ brackets all day Saturday, August 13

Mixed doubles all day Sunday, August 14

Skill levels to include Novice, 3.0,3.5,4.0,4.5

Brackets will cap at 7 teams for round-robin format and age groups will flex with registration. For example, if 14 teams sign up for 60+ it will be split into two brackets 60+ and maybe 64+ depending on age within the teams.

Deadline to receive a tshirt with registration is July 15, 2022 at 10am. After that date if we can match you up with a shirt we will....no guarantees.

Current updated skill levels will be used to determine skill levels. Tournament staff will check status as registration proceeds to ensure people are in correct brackets as the next update is not until July 1.

Refunds will be offered until registration closes, and you will be refunded all but $10 to cover fees/expenses. Refunds will not be issued until the completion of the tournament.
