Tournament Description
The Big Dill on the Hill is a round robin pickleball tournament fundraiser to be held at Hillcrest HS in Springfield, Mo on Saturday, February 22, 2025 (Womens and Mens Doubles) and Sunday, February 23, 2025 (Mixed Doubles). We will also provide a scramble tournament for our 70+ Men and one for our 70+ Women. The scrambles event will be offered on the same day as gender doubles.
*Please note: The Big Dill on The Hill fundraisier is now scheduled to run 2 days due to the continued growth in numbers of registered players. This tournament will be hosted by the Hillcrest Boys Basketball Booster Club and all proceeds raised from this tournament will directly benefit the Hillcrest Boys Basketball program.
The indoor tournament will be located in 2 connecting gyms on campus. 9 courts (wood floor) will be provided. We will be using the Gamma Photon Ball. Concessions WILL be provided by the Booster Club. There will be some seating available. You may bring your own seating to be used upstairs on the mezzanine. Please DO NOT set up your chairs on the gym floor.
Bathrooms are located on the mezzanine floor.
Skill and age divisions will be offered. Please note that events might be merged or split based on event registration. Both events and times are subject to change as determined by the tournament director.
Doors will open at 7:00am, start time 8am. Registration is a flat fee of $55. There is no additional charge for playing in both gender and mixed doubles.
Registration for this fundraising tournament is $55.00 (both events included.)
A *service fee* will be added by pickleballbrackets.com and is non-refundable.
Brackets will be separated by age and then skill level. You may play DOWN in age and/or UP in skill at your discretion. Be sure to register for your preferred age/skill level and check SKILL Rating on Pickleball Brackets.
Brackets will be announced after registration closes.

Additional Information
Registration will include a tournament towel.
Concessions will be for sale by the Boys Basketball Booster club for breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the tournament day. The menu and prices will be posted as we get closer to the tournament dates.
As a special treat, Pineapple Whip will be sold duing the tournament.
WEATHER related policy:
This is an indoor tournament so the event will go as scheduled unless the facility is unable to host due to inclement weather, due to Springfield Public School policy or other reason (COVID). In that case every effort will be made to play the games on their scheduled days. However, adjustments may be necessary, and no refunds will be given once an event has started. Any refund given will be for the event only, not including registration service fees.

Withdrawls made BEFORE the cancellation date deadline of February 9, 2025 will receive a full refund, less the service fees charged by pickleballbrackets.com
NO REFUNDS will be given for withdrawals after the cancellation deadline. If you need additional clarification please contact the tournament director.

Health & Safety
Parking is free and located in front of the HPER Gymnasium. You may enter this parking lot off of the Smith Street entrance across from the backside of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
