The Ocala Pickleball Club is proud to announce the Big Sun Pickleball Tournament to be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The tournament format is a Round Robin Pool Play in both Men's and Women's doubles.

Participants must be at least 19 years of age to register. The winner of each pool will play for the gold medal in each division. Medals will be awarded for 1st and 2nd Place (Gold and Silver). Skill divisions will include Beginner to 2.5, 3.0 to 3.5, and 4.0 to 4.5. No 5.0 or higher skill level players may register for the tournament. Scoring for the Pool Round Robin play will consist of 1 game to 15, win by 1. The Gold Medal championship game featuring the winners from each pool will consist of 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 1. Each entrant will receive a Publix Sandwich, chips, and a bottle of water for lunch. The tournament will be a fundraiser for the Ocala Pickleball Club LLC, to help promote pickleball in the Ocala area.

Each paid entrant will receive both a goodie bag and a ticket for a chance to win free raffle prizes. The tournament Director reserves the right to modify the event formats and divisions as needed depending on the number of registrations, age levels, and/or skill levels to provide for an optimum experience for all tournament participants. There will be a text system that will notify each player as to when they play and their court assignment. Please report to the front tournament desk prior to reporting to the court to receive your clip board, scoresheet, and tournament ball. The official tournament ball will be the Engage Tour Pickleball.

The Ocala Pickleball Club anticipates local vendors to be at the venue promoting pickleball merchandise for your convenience and pleasure.

Due to the fact that the Big Sun Pickleball Tournament is a fundraising event, the Ocala Pickleball Club will not be able to issue any refunds once a participant is registered and paid to be in the tournament. There will be a no refund policy.

If there is inclement weather on the day of the tournament, the weather makeup day will be the next day, Sunday, November 12, 2023, beginning at 8:00am.
