Our facility is proud to be home to UVA's men's and women's varsity tennis teams. This September Boar’s Head Resort invites you to the Pickleball Fall Classic 2023!

This is a USA Pickleball No-Ref Sanctioned Event. We will have one on-site USA Pickleball Certified Referee, who will be present at the venue to answer player questions and address on-court issues.

All participants must create a USA Pickleball account.

9/30 - Men's and Women's Doubles | 3.5 and under & 4.0-4.5 divisions |

10/1 - Mixed Doubles | 3.5 and under & 4.0-4.5 divisions |

*If you are a self-rated 3.75 player, you may decide which division to enter. Contact the tournament director for help with self-rating.

6 dedicated outdoor courts

2 tennis courts with temporary lines for use with portable nets for an additional 4 courts.

We will use Orange Frog Tape to convert the 2 tennis courts to 4 pickleball courts.

Option of 10 total outdoor pickleball courts

Registration includes 3 guaranteed games, a catered lunch, a tournament goodie bag, and access to our hydration stations supplied with complimentary Gatorade and water.

We will have a CRBN Pickleball demo table featuring all 5 of their 16 mm paddles. CRBN discount codes will be administered.

Format - Round robin to double elimination - each team is guaranteed at least 3 games. Top teams from round-robin advance to the double-elimination format. *Format subject to change*

Team participants must register individually and list partners in registration.

Each division winner will receive a voucher to redeem 2 tickets to our Winter Wander Trail of Lights. For example, if Ben and Anna Leigh win gold, they both receive 2 tickets each to the light show.

Scores from each match will be recorded and submitted to DUPR. To learn more about dynamic universal pickleball ratings, log on to dupr.com. Please create a DUPR account before or after registering for this tournament. Once you make your free account, we will be able to invite you to our DUPR club for the classic. You may also request to join.

For a full refund minus the service processing fee, you must withdraw/cancel your registration on or before September 22nd at noon Eastern time.

Partial refunds for withdrawing/canceling after registration will be considered and handled on a case-by-case basis.

Entry fees may be transferred to substitute a player of similar skill level at any time up until registration closes.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY - This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor and outdoor play is no longer safe, we will move to our indoor tennis surface courts. We will convert 3 tennis courts to 6 pickleball courts. One court has permanent lines already while the others will be created with orange frog tape.
