After a spectacular debut in 2023, the Body Armor 804 Open is back, bigger and better! The 2024 rendition promises the same striking backdrop and venues, more competitive Age & Skill divisions to choose from, even more Prize Money to award in Open & Senior Open Divisions, and the same high-quality broadcast and livestream for the very first time on Championship Sunday featuring all Open & Senior Open Division Finals and Gold Medal matches! This is a USAP sanctioned tournament being held at the all-new Performance Pickleball RVA premier indoor pickleball facility in Henrico, VA. There will be Age & Skill Divisions in Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles (Age Divisions: 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+, minimum age to participate is 12; Skill Divisions: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, Open).

The tournament will also feature Open & Senior Open Divisions within each of the Men's, Women's and Mixed events with Prize Money awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each Open & Senior Open Division event.

Matches will take place on 12 state-of-the-art dedicated indoor pickleball courts at Performance Pickleball RVA.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each bracket.

Registration closes on Wednesday 6/5/24

Registration is $50 during the Early Registration Period which ends on Tuesday 4/30/24. Registration will be $60 starting on Wednesday 5/1/24. The registration fee is per player and includes a free tournament t-shirt and other tournament sponsor giveaways. Please be sure to indicate your shirt size during the registration process. Late or last-minute registrants may not be guaranteed a t-shirt and/or desired shirt size, so be sure to sign up early.

Event fees are $15 per event for all Age & Skill events and $25 per event for all Open & Senior Open events. There will also be a Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fee of $5 per event or a maximum of $10 when registering for 2 or more events.

For doubles events, priority will be given to teams that have both partners registered and paid. Teams with only one partner registered and paid and teams with no designated partner will be waitlisted after a period of time. To secure your spot in a doubles bracket, please make sure that both you and your partner are registered and paid.

This is a USA PICKLEBALL SANCTIONED tournament so all USAP 2024 rules will apply. USAP Membership is also required to play and all scores and results will count toward your USAP UTPR.

All Age & Skill brackets will be Round Robin with a Single Elimination bracket round and/or medal matches to be played immediately following the completion of Round Robin play.

Round Robin matches will be either best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 2 or 1 game to 11 win by 2 depending on the size of the bracket and/or pools. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Open & Senior Open Division brackets will be Double Elimination. Double Elimination bracket matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 in the Winners' Bracket and 1 game to 15 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Teams/players in the Consolation Bracket will have a chance to advance back into the medal rounds. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 with a Tiebreaker Match (if necessary) being 1 game to 15 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Open Division upper age limit is 49 and under; however, older players may play down in age if they do not wish to play in the Senior Open or have a partner who is 49 or under. Senior Open Division minimum age limit is 50 and above. Senior Open Divisions may be combined with Open Divisions if not enough teams/players are signed up to fill a complete bracket.

Age & Skill groups may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director to create brackets as needed based on the number of registered teams/players. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to adjust the bracket and match formats as necessary.

The Cancellation Deadline is Friday 5/31/24. Full refunds (less the Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fees) will be given through this date. After this date, there will be no refunds for cancellations or withdrawals. For any extenuating circumstances or situations, please contact the Tournament Director for approval.

Prize Money will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each of the Open & Senior Open Division events. Payout amounts are as follow:
