Bristol Broncos Inaugural Men's Moneyball Tournament
Join us for a competitive and exciting day of pickleball while supporting the Bristol Broncos LPL 50+ Professional Pickleball Team!
This tournament is a fundraiser supporting the Bristol Broncos' 2027 professional season, with proceeds helping fund team operations and a team dinner.
Registration & Team Formation
Maximum of 36 players (12 three-man teams). Registration will be limited to a number of participants divisible by three to ensure complete teams.
Following registration, Bristol Broncos team members will divide players into three tiers based on age and skill level. Minimum DUPR 4.25 (Anyone Below will be added to a waiting list)
Upon arrival, players will be randomly drawn from the three tiers, with one player from each tier forming a three-man team.
Teams will remain together throughout the entire tournament.
Matchup Format
Each team matchup consists of three doubles games, with every player competing in two of the three games.
For example, a team consisting of Players A, B, and C will rotate partnerships as follows:
Game 1: Players A & B
Game 2: Players A & C
Game 3: Players B & C
The opposing team will follow the same rotation, ensuring that every player participates equally.
Round-Robin & Playoffs
Teams will compete in an initial round-robin competition to establish playoff seeding.
Teams will advance into a seeded playoff bracket based on round-robin results.
Depending on the number of participating teams, a backdraw (consolation bracket) may be included to provide additional competitive play.
The final playoff structure will be determined by the total number of registered teams.
What Makes This Tournament Different?
Unlike traditional tournaments where players select their own partners, this event uses a randomized, age- and skill-balanced team draw to create competitive three-man teams.
