The Britannia Yacht Club on the Ottawa River in the nation's capital welcomes you to the Britannia Spring Pickleball Open 2022 (May 27-29, 2022). There will be a members' only event on Friday May 27, with the "open" events being held on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29. The information below largely pertains to the "open" events being held on Saturday and Sunday.
We will be using the Franklin X-40 outdoor ball.
All teams are guaranteed 4 games to 15 points (win by 1 point). Each event will have playoffs (a minimum of 4 teams per event will make the playoffs), including a gold medal game and bronze medal game.
Registration cost ($55) includes one pickleball event, as well as one free burger OR sausage, and one free beer OR wine OR soft drink. These free offerings will be available Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29 between 1pm-3pm. NO SUBSTITUTIONS for the free burger/sausage/drinks. If you don't want them, you can gift them to a friend.
A second pickleball event costs $15. Hence, two events will cost $70, which includes one burger OR sausage, plus one beer OR wine OR soft drink. You will NOT receive a free 2nd item or food or free 2nd drink with your second event.
A continental breakfast is expected to be available on Saturday/Sunday morning (for a fee), and drinks/snacks are expected to be available for purchase throughout the weekend.
FRIDAY MAY 27
- Members only social mixer event (3pm-530pm) (burger/sausage available on Friday); members will receive a $20 discount code from Garry, making the registration cost $35 per player.

• Women’s Doubles 3.0 (8:30am start until 11:30am)

• Men’s Doubles 3.5, age 60+ (2pm-530pm)
• Women’s Doubles 3.5, age 60+ (2pm-530pm)
• Mixed Doubles 4.0 (4pm-7pm)
• Mixed Doubles 4.5 (4pm-7pm)
SUNDAY MAY 29 – approximate times (subject to change)
• Mixed Doubles 3.5, age 60+ (9am-1pm)
• Mixed Doubles 3.5, all ages (9am-1pm)
• Men’s Doubles 4.5 (12pm-4pm)
• Men’s Doubles 4.0 (2pm-6pm)
• Women’s Doubles 4.0+ (2pm-530pm)
• Mixed Doubles 3.0 (3pm-6pm)
If some events do not reach their registration limits/capacity, other events may increase in size (# of teams, waiting list), or new events may be added at a later time.
