Fresno State Pickleball Club is hosting its first-ever large-scale tournament! Many skill divisions and age brackets will be accommodated to make a complete event. Additionally, an advanced $1000 MONEYBALL will be hosted to showcase the best of the best! All proceeds of this event benefit the newly formed Fresno State University Pickleball Club built to grow pickleball in the collegiate demographic. This is the first-ever large-scale pickleball tournament hosted at Fresno State!

This $1000 MONEYBALL event is on the road to the California Pickleball Classic hosted at Sierra Sport and Racquet Club on November 2nd and 3rd of 2024.

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and Open Division will be offered.

8+, and 50+ Age brackets will be hosted for all levels except the Open Division.

Format:

Amateur: Round Robin with playoffs.

Round robin: Games to 15 win by 1.

Playoffs: 2/3 Games to 11 win by 2.

Number of rounds in amateur divisions will be determined by number of registrants. Tiebreaks will be determined first by wins/losses, then head-to-head, then by point differential.

Double Elimination Format (Open Division)

Main Bracket: 2 out of 3 Games to 11 win by 2

Consolation Bracket: 1 game to 15 win by 2

The event has the right to shorten match formats if the weather poses scheduling delays.

If events do not fill up, brackets may be combined at the Tournament Director's discretion.

Full refunds will be given minus a $10 processing fee and a $5 non-refundable service fee per event up until the 15th of September.

1st Place: $600

2nd Place: $250

3rd Place: $150

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play matches. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

We will always try to wait out the weather and play. Rarely will we ever cancel an event.

Participants are required to sign a facility waiver before participation in event.
