The California Pickleball Classic is an annual high-quality pickleball tournament for all ages and abilities. We strive to produce a well-rounded, inclusive event without large registration fees. $7,500 in prize money is at stake for the open divisions hosted to highlight the talented pickleball players of California. At the same time, amateur competitors enjoy complimentary player gifts and many refereed matches on their road through the tournament bracket. This tournament is hosted at a spacious, full-service venue with an on-site restaurant and clubhouse amenities. Each year with the help of our many corporate sponsors, we are able to host raffles, giveaways, and numerous vendors. Proceeds of these events benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

Saturday Nov 11. Men's/Women's Doubles (8:00 am start approx.)

Sunday Nov 12. Mixed Doubles (9:00 am start approx.)

Open divisions start an hour later (approx) than age/skill group events.

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and Open Division will be offered.

8+, 45+, and 60+ Age brackets will be hosted for all levels except Open Division.

Format:

Double Elimination with full Consolation Bracket or Round Robin with playoffs. We will do our best to offer as many games as possible to round-robin divisions.

Double Elimination Format (Open Division)

Main Bracket: 2 out of 3 Games to 11 win by 2

Consolation Bracket: 1 game to 15 win by 2

Round Robin With Playoffs Format:

1 game to 15 win by 1

Tiebreaks will be determined first by wins/losses, then head-to-head, then by point differential.

Single Elimination Playoff bracket will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Medal Matches will be 2 out of 3 win by 2.

The event has the right to shorten match formats if the weather poses scheduling delays.

If events do not fill up brackets may be combined at Tournament Director's discretion.

Full refunds will be given minus a $10 processing fee up until the 1st of November.

Open Divisions: $1,000 Guarunteed per division. Extra Prize money will be awarded according to the percentage of registrants relative to all open divisions. The more registrants, the more prize money that will be allocated to that particular event.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

This is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play matches. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

We will always try to wait out the weather and play. Rarely will we ever cancel an event.
