Grande Prairie will be hosting our Ball Blitz Pickleball Tournament.

This is a PCO SANCTIONED event, utilizing both AGE and SKILL brackets for singles, mixed, and doubles.

FORMAT

DOUBLE ELIMINATION with re-entry to the championship bracket (best 2/3 to 11, win by 2). Consolation side will be one game to 15 points (win by 2).

ROUND ROBIN format may be used for smaller events of 5 or fewer teams.

Brackets may be combined, or limited in size, based on the number of entries.

**The tournament director reserves the right to add, combine, modify, or cancel skill levels/events pending registration numbers. Events can also be rescheduled/cancelled as needed pending weather and other outside influences beyond our control (ie. Covid restrictions).**

Online Registration Only

Registration Fees: $40.00 plus $10.00 per event.

Payment is required at time of registration through Stripe, which allows credit and debit card payments.

A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 3 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the WaitList.

***YOUR PLAYER PROFILE- should have "Receive in game text messages" checked to "YES" AND Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. FAILURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR GAMES WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT***. Please arrive a minimum of 30mins prior to the start of your event.

• All participants must be members of Pickleball Canada.

• Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner

• Participants will be allowed to enter at their current or .5 higher Pickleball Canada skill rating as of the date of registration.

If you are not rated, consult with other players or visit the Pickleball Canada website for rating information.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrants withdrawing before June 12, 2023, will be refunded registration and event fees minus a $10 administration fee. NO refunds will be issued after June 12, 2023.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

This is an outdoor tournament. If there is inclement weather, all will be done to play matches, but there will be NO refunds or credits due should we have to cancel. Cancellation due to inclement weather, health concerns (COVID) or other unforeseen circumstances during the tournament, is a possibility. If this occurs, the Tournament Director and organizing committee reserve the right to revise schedules.
