This will be a prize money tournament that will pay $18,750 total prize money* for the Open divisions and Amateur divisions. The Open division will have men's, women's, and mixed and will pay $3500 in prize money for each division, with gold earning $2000, silver earning $1000, and bronze winning $500.

The Open divisions will be a double-elimination format.

There will also be 15 Amateur divisions for men's, women's, and mixed, and special age division 50+, with skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. Each division will pay $550 for the medal winners, with gold earning $300, silver earning $150, and bronze earning $100.

The Amateur divisions will be a round-robin format that then seeds ALL teams into a single elimination playoff (based on results of round robin/pools) . Each team will be guaranteed at least 4 games.

The schedule will be:

- 50+ 3.5 - 4.5 Men's, Women's, Mixed - Friday, September 5th

- Welcome Party - Friday Night, September 5th

- Open Men's and Women's - Saturday, September 6th

- Amateur Mixed - Saturday, September 6th

- Open Mixed - Sunday, September 7th

- Amateur Men's and Women's - Sunday September 7th

Not only will this tournament promise to be competitive, but it will also be fun and social. On Friday night, we will be hosting a Welcome Party. All registered players are invited to Pickle on Penn's on-site restaurant & bar (The Kitchen) from 6 - 9PM. There will be free open play, food and drinks, live DJ, and tons of fun before the tournament action gets underway.

The registration fee will be $60/person plus..

Each Open event will be $40 w/ $25 PBBrackets.com service fee

and each Amateur event will be $20. w/ $5 PBBrackets.com service fee

Carmel Classic Withdrawal & Refund Policy

At the Carmel Classic, we understand that circumstances can change. We strive to be fair while ensuring the smooth operation of our tournament.

1. Withdrawal Requests

All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via email to steve@pickleonpenn.com by the deadlines listed below.

2. Refund Deadlines & Amounts

On or before August 31, 2025 – Full refund of the registration fee minus PickleballBrackets and Stripe processing fees.

September 1, 2025 or later – No refunds will be issued.

Player substitutions are allowed until September 3, 2025.

3. Extenuating Circumstances

In the case of injury, illness, or other unexpected emergencies, participants may request a credit toward a future Carmel Classic or Pickle on Penn event. Supporting documentation may be required. All credit decisions are at the discretion of the tournament director.

4. Tournament Cancellation or Postponement

If the tournament is canceled due to weather, facility issues, or unforeseen circumstances, registered players will receive a full credit toward a future event.

If the tournament is postponed, registrations will automatically transfer to the new date. Players unable to attend may request a credit toward a future event. No cash refunds will be issued.

5. Partner Withdrawals (Doubles Events)

If a registered player’s partner withdraws, the remaining player is responsible for finding a replacement. Refunds will not be issued for individual partner withdrawals.

6. No-Show Policy

Players who fail to show up for their scheduled matches without prior notice will not be eligible for refunds or credits.

Open Divisions (Men, Women, and Mixed) - $10,500* Total Prize

$3500 for each division broken down as follows:

Gold - $2,000

Silver - $1000

Bronze - $500

Amateur Divisions - $8,750 Total Prize*

$550 for each of the 15 divisions

Gold - $300

Silver - $150

Bronze - $100

Prize Money Disclaimer:

Full advertised prize payouts are based on meeting minimum bracket sizes:

Open divisions: Minimum of 12 teams for full payout.

Amateur divisions: Minimum of 6 teams for full payout.

If a bracket has fewer teams, prize money will be proportionally reduced using:

Adjusted Prize = Advertised Prize × (Actual Teams/Minimum Teams)

Example: If only 9 teams register for an Open division, payouts will be 75% of the advertised amount.

If a bracket has fewer than 4 teams, it may be combined with another bracket or canceled.
