The Pickleball New Zealand Association (PNZA) is excited to host the NZ Open 2025 proudly bought to you by Summerset Retirement Villages. This tournament features 29 multiple skill divisions played on an indoor hard court facility of 24 courts, excellent court viewing, lots of bathrooms and showers onsite, food trucks and other options, some off street and plenty of on street parking. We will also have a photographer and streaming for the event. Please read all the following information to help you understand how the days and divisions will run.
* Your first division is included in the registration fee.
* Please review all the details and note the different start times for each division.
* All divisions are round robin for the pool play section then if you qualify for the next stage it will be single elimination knock out.
* A minimum of three games is guaranteed.
* For all divisions you can play up however you can't play down or outside your age category (i.e. a person of any age can play in the Open however if you are 52 you can't play in the 60+ divisions).
* DUPR will be used to check ratings of players for division eligibility and the cut off date for the DUPR rating for seeding the player/teams will be 1 September 2025.
* Once the division reaches capacity, the highest ranked players will have priority. You may be bumped to B grade if the event reaches capacity and you are the lowest ranked team(s).
*There are B and C divisions. B Grade = 4.0 to 3.5. C Grade = 3.5 and Under.
* 50+ and 60+ have the Open and 4.0 and Under divisions.
* 50+ 4.0 and Above events require all participants to be above 3.5. We have allowed a 0.5 difference in this category for sign up. This will encourage those on the cusp of 4.0 to enter in the higher skilled division. To clarify, you can be 3.5 and above to enter in the 50+ 4.0 and above event. 50+ also has a B Grade which is classed at 4.0 and below.
* Medals will be awarded for gold, sliver and bronze for all divisions.
* Events may be merged if less than four participating players/teams.
* Prize money will be awarded for gold, silver and bronze for all divisions as follows:
Open Singles Divisions Gold $300 / Silver $150 / Bronze $75
