On Tuesday, April 5, the Provincial Government announced that as of Friday, April 8, 2022, the province will be further lifting COVID-19 restrictions. This will include no longer requiring proof of vaccination to enter events, businesses, or services.
When the Provincial government mandated the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) ordinances, the club complied with those PHO orders to keep the club operating in the safest manner possible.
With the lifting of the proof of vaccination PHO order, the club will also be lifting the need to provide proof of vaccination to participate in any or all club activities as of Friday, April 8, 2022.
We continue to promote and expect that players will be diligent regarding the health and safety of everyone. If you are not well and experiencing any flu or COVID like symptoms we want you to care for yourselves and refrain from any play at the tournament. The club has an obligation to strictly enforce our mandate of providing a safe and inclusive environment where members can participate in the sport of pickleball.
The Provincial government has thanked the people of British Columbia for the sacrifices made by all of us to manage this pandemic. The Club would also like to extend a thank you to all players for their personal choices in managing our collective health challenges. As a club, the Board of Directors will continue to respect individual choices each player makes in regards to the current PHO orders and one’s own health.
