Welcome to the CITY OF DOTHAN SHOWDOWN where it is DEPARTMENT versus DEPARTMENT all in good FUN, hosted at the brand new Dothan Pickleball Complex with 25 covered courts, brought to you by the City of Dothan Leadership, City Commissioners, City of Dothan Department of Leisure Services, Houston County, Visit Dothan, and Southern Pickleball.

After countless hours of planning, designing, and building, the City of Dothan Department of Leisure Services is thrilled to announce the GRAND OPENING OF THE DOTHAN PICKLEBALL COMPLEX, a state-of-the-art pickleball complex.

Join us SATURDAY, JULY 11TH for the DEPARTMENT SHOWDOWN from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM CST featuring CO-ED DOUBLES | ALL AGES | ALL SKILL LEVELS. Players must register with a partner.

This event will begin promptly at 11:30 AM and is open to City of Dothan Department Employees ONLY.

All gameplay, officiating, and judgment decisions during our events are based on these rules to ensure consistency and fairness for all players. Southern Pickleball reserves the right to deviate from the USA Pickleball rules at the discretion of tournament management.

We encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with the USA Pickleball Rulebook to understand the standards and expectations that govern our games. For more information or to access the rulebook, please visit

In addition, the Southern Pickleball Association allows paddles that are on the official UPA-A amateur and the USA Pickleball approved paddle list. It is the player's responsibility to ensure their paddle is currently approved for amateur tournament play.
