Tournament Description
The Nick Hostler Memorial Tournament is hosted by the Nick Hostler Foundation and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. This will be the sixth tournament were the proceeds are donated to projects and other foundations that provide opportunities and services to the special needs community. Nick was a special education teacher that only saw opportunities, not challenges, for his special friends. He wanted them to be able to experience life to their fullest.
By participating in this tournament, you will helping these special people get that opportunity. Come join this pickleball family reunion. You will see old friends and meet new ones, play some exciting pickleball and enjoy what Springfield has to offer.

Additional Information
Format:
Round robin games to 15 win by 1
1-3 teams will be combined by skill
4 teams make a bracket
4-5 teams will have a medal round after round robin play
10 + teams will be broken down to pools for round robin play-top 2 teams from each pool will move to medal
round
Skill levels 2.5 to 5.0
Age brackets 8-34, 35-49, 50+, 60+, 65+ (A 70+ bracket will be added to men's doubles)
2.5 through 4.0 will have age brackets, 4.5 and 5.0 will be open
The format and brackets may be changed at the discretion of the tournament administration.
Nicklepickles (mulligans or replay) may be secured at the tournament sight. 1/$5 or 5/$20
Each player is allowed to use 1 per game on any point, Additional information may attained by emailing contact or at the tournament site. It will make your game very interesting.
Refund Policy
Withdrawals made be make before the end of registration, September 13th and receive a full refund less the registration fee of $5 per event. No refunds will apply for withdrawals after September 13th
This is an outdoor tournament so please plan accordingly. In case of inclement weather, we will do everything within our power to get the games in. Schedules will be adjusted. No refunds will be given once the tournament starts. If it should be cancelled prior to tournament start refunds will be given. In that case, we would ask to consider that this is a charity fund raiser for the special needs community and you would allow your entry fee be considered a donation to a very worthy cause.

Parking Information
Parking Fee: No Fee
Parking is available in front of the park. It is also available across the street at Kickapoo High School, on Jefferson St, northwest and west side of the park. Please, no parking on the grass areas in front of the park.
