This tournament will be held at Eastern Washington's largest dedicated outdoor pickleball complex, the beautiful Lawrence Scott Park.

AMATEUR LEVELS/SKILLED EVENTS:

Round Robin format with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-5.0 with age brackets under 50, 50-59, & 60+.

PRO / OPEN DIVISIONS

Traditional Scoring:

Pool Play and Playoffs: Games to 15 (win by 2).

8 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.

12-14 Teams: Divisions split into 3 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.

16-18 Teams: Divisions split into 4 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.

Playoffs: single elimination, best of 3, games to 11 (win by 2)

Medal Matches:

Gold/Silver/Bronze Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).

TD may combine brackets or add more teams as needed to ensure quality play.

Tournament may close at any time if maximum daily numbers are met (even if some events appear to have openings)

The Open Registration fees ($75/pp) will be 100% contributed towards the prize pools and have been allocated for the teams competing in the OPEN division only. The open division, which features the most skilled and competitive players, will have its prize money split proportionally among the following categories:

12+ Men's Open Singles

12+ Women's Open Singles

12+ Men's Open Doubles

12+ Women's Open Doubles

12+ Mixed Open Doubles

Within each category, the top-performing teams will receive a share of the purse, with the distribution determined by their final placements and the tournament's prize structure and respective to the qty of teams in each event.

This purse structure acknowledges the exceptional talents of the open division players and serves as a testament to the tournament organizers' commitment to fostering a competitive and rewarding environment for all participants in the open division.

Open divisions must have 6 teams minimum registered in order for the event to be played.

TEAM EVENT NOTES/FORMAT:

Pregame: COIN FLIP: Winner of coin flip will choose HOME or AWAY

1 Each Match is 4 games: (1) Mens DBS, (1) Womens DBS, (2) Mixed DBS. Side Out Scoring, Games to 11 win by 2.

2 If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games played, they'll go to a Dreambreaker! In a Dreambreaker one person from each team plays singles against each other, RALLY SCORING, switching every four points until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points

3 DREAMBREAKER DETAILS:

Rally Scoring: Points are scored with each rally, unlike traditional side-out scoring where points can only be scored on serve.

Game to 21: The DreamBreaker is played to 21 points, with a two-point winning margin.

Player Rotation: Each team's four designated players rotate in a fixed order, playing four rallies each.

Lineup Submissions: Teams submit their player lineups before the match. The home team submits their lineup first, allowing the away team to counter.

Winning on Serve: The DreamBreaker must be won on serve, meaning the team that serves must win the point to gain a point.

One Time-Out: Each team also receives one time-out during the DreamBreaker.

End Change: Teams switch ends when one team reaches a score of eleven

4 All (4) games must be played, even if a team goes 3-0 in the match. (ROUND ROBIN ONLY)

5 MLP Teams can expect to play (2) full matches to be seeded for playoff, 1 match is as described above, minimum 4 games per match per team.

All player registration cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Withdrawals before June 5 2025 will receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee and non-refundable service fee of $5 per event, maximum of $10.

Withdrawals on or after June 6 will be non refundable.

If you registered and paid the registration fee and were put on the wait list; you will not be charged the event fee until you are actually moved into the event. If you do not move off the wait list; a refund will be issued at the end of the tournament minus processing fees.

PickleballBrackets service fees ($5/event up to $10 amateur) are NOT refundable.

Refunds will be issued 7- 10 days after the completion of the tournament.

$7500 Base Prize Pools for OPEN:

12+ OPEN EVENTS:

Up to $15k prize money (based on 12 teams in each event).

$7500 Base prize money pool, $75/pp open fee towards event, prize money split proportionately based on number of teams in each event.

12+ OPEN EVENTS:

up to $15,000 in total Prize Pool money that will be split between each of (5) open events proportionately to number of teams in event.

Prize pool is only for the open events only.

**Payout example below is based on all open events having 12 registered teams with the $7500 base pool.

**OPEN Doubles Events payouts (Based on 12 teams) = $3,675 total. 1st Place: $2,020 (55%). 2nd Place: $1,100 (30%). 3rd Place: $550 (15%).

**OPEN Singles Events payouts (Based on 12 teams) = $1,850 total. 1st Place: $1,018 (55%). 2nd Place: $555 (30%). 3rd Place: $278 (15%).

Open Division Men's Dbls, Women's Dbls, and Mixed Dbls, Men’s Singles, and Women’s Singles will compete for their direct share of the prize purse respectively.

*Total division prize money is determined by the number of division registrants.

At the discretion of the Kitchenfire Sports, our tournament director, we may allow up to 20 teams max in Open events (based on time availability).

Actual Payouts will be based upon the number of players/teams in each OPEN event.

4 team minimum for any Open division.

For optimal hydration during a tournament, athletes should prioritize regular fluid intake, starting before the event and continuing throughout the day. A rule-of-thumb is to consume about 200-300 ml of fluid every 15 minutes during activity. Consider electrolyte drinks for longer events or intense heat.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Before the tournament:

Hydrate thoroughly the day before and on the day of the tournament. Aim for at least 16-20 ounces of water or sports drinks 2-3 hours before the event and another 7-10 ounces 20-30 minutes before.

During the tournament:

Make it a priority to drink fluids regularly, even when not actively playing. Aim for 7-10 ounces every 20 minutes during play. If the event lasts longer than 60 minutes, sports drinks with electrolytes can be helpful.

Shaded areas:

Set up shaded areas for breaks, which can help prevent heat-related illnesses.

Longer water breaks:

Provide longer water breaks during the tournament to allow athletes to drink more.

Food choices:

Consider consuming fruits and vegetables with high water content, like watermelon, oranges, and cucumbers.

Electrolytes:

For longer durations or intense heat, sports drinks can help replenish electrolytes lost through sweat.

Monitor urine color:

Continue to monitor urine color and volume throughout the day to ensure proper hydration.
