π― Divisions & DUPR Requirements
All skill divisions from 2.0 to 4.5+ are offered; smaller divisions may combine, larger ones may split.
DPC reserves the right to move teams into the appropriate bracket based on DUPR.
DUPR is strictly enforced to keep games fair and competitive:
β’ No playing down β no player can register for a division lower than their current DUPR
β’ Playing Up - DOUBLES: A player may choose to play 1 division higher than their rating if:
(a) they are within .250 of a divisions lower threshold.
Ex) a player that is between 3.75 and 3.999 can play in the 4.0 to 4.5 division.
OR
(b)they are within .500 of a divisions lower threshold AND their partner's DUPR is properly within that divisions requirements
Ex) a 3.5 to 3.749 rated player can play in the 4.0 to 4.5 division ONLY if their partner is rated between 4.0 and 4.499
β’ Playing up - SINGLES: allowed if your DUPR is within 0.5 of the division's lower threshold.
β’ Unrated players: Create a DUPR account first. Then, sign up and you'll play in the division based on your partner's rating. If both partners on a team are unrated, you can choose your division as long as it's below the 4.0 to 4.5 division (advanced).
β’ Ratings are checked periodically with a final check at registration close. Teams will be moved to a division if they signed up for the wrong division. Teams where DUPRs have increased or decreased across their division threshold will be granted a 0.100 buffer and will be moved at the TDs discretion on a case-by-case basis.
β’ Duplicate DUPR accounts used to dodge the correct division are treated as cheating, reported to DUPR, and can lead to temporary or permanent suspension from future DPC events.

π₯ Tournament Format
All divisions start with round robin pool play (games to 15, or to 11 win by 2), followed by bracket play and gold and bronze medal matches. Final pool and bracket sizes are set after registration closes, based on division size. Every player is guaranteed at least 4 games, with most playing 5 to 12.
