The Cameron Evening Lions Club, partnering with the Cameron Rotary Club, are pleased to announce the first ever pickleball tournament in Cameron, on the newly constructed Rickey Williams Memorial Courts, at Lions Centennial Park. We have 8 beautiful new pickleball courts, as well as a tennis court which will be utilized with 2 temporary pickleball courts, in case of overflow. Proceeds from the event will benefit upkeep of the park and courts, as well as scholarships for local high school students.
THERE WILL BE NO GAMES REPORTED TO DUPR IN THIS TOURNAMENT.
Registration is $50 per player.
There will be two divisions:
Social Round Robin, 9am to 11 am -- Limited to 32 players, this will be open to all skills and ages, both men and women, and will be a random draw. Games to 11, win by one. The top three players with the most wins will receive prizes, as well as random participation prizes. This division is intended for those players who want to support our cause, but play in a social setting. There will be no DUPR games in this division.
Novice (2.5-3.0) and Intermediate (3.0-3.5) Competitive Division
Doubles Round-Robin (no playoff), with the following divisions, 12 in all:
1. Men's 2.5-3.0 Under 50 2. Men's 2.5-3.0 Over 50
3. Women's 2.5-3.0 Under 50 4. Women's 2.5-3.0 Over 50
5. Mixed 2.5-3.0 Under 50 6. Mixed 2.5-3.0 Over 50
7. Men's 3.0-3.5 Under 50 8. Men's 3.0-3.5 Over 50
9. Women's 3.0-3.5 Under 50 10. Women's 3.0-3.5 Over 50
11. Mixed 3.0-3.5 Under 50 12. Mixed 3.0-3.5 Over 50
9 am -- Social Round Robin (no DUPR)
11 am -- Men and Women's Doubles, 2.5-3.0
1 pm -- Men and Women's Doubles, 3.0-3.5
3 pm -- All Mixed Doubles
Prize money (or equivalent prizes) will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
Divisions may be combined, depending on registration response.
