Director’s Discretion
The Tournament Director reserves the right to:
1. Review and adjust player ratings where self-ratings appear inaccurate (too high or too low).
2. Move players or teams to the appropriate skill division if they have entered an incorrect bracket.
3. Merge or split brackets in events with 4 or fewer entries, based on registration numbers.
4. Adjust match start times to ensure smooth tournament operation.
5. Modify the event schedule in response to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. fire drills or venue emergencies).
Delays
If you are unavoidably delayed and may not arrive in time for your match, please contact the Tournament Directors immediately. We will advise you of the current schedule and discuss possible options. However, please note that late arrivals may result in match forfeiture.
Referees
Where possible, referees will be provided for all gold medal matches. Availability may vary based on volunteer and official numbers.
Volunteers
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering at the tournament, please contact the event organisers. We welcome all offers of help!
Registration
• Registration is considered complete only once both players in a team have registered.
• If you do not have a partner, you can use the “Players Needing Partners” feature on Pickleball Brackets. It is the entrant’s responsibility to find a partner using this function.
• If you’re unable to secure a partner, the Tournament Directors may be able to assist where possible.
All players must be members of Pickleball Australia.
If you’re a member of your state association (e.g. Pickleball Tasmania), you are automatically a member.
To register, you’ll need your Pickleball Australia member number.
Player Ratings
• Players with existing DUPR will have these used as the official rating.
• If you are unrated or entering your first tournament, you’ll need to self-rate.
As a general guide, players rated 2.5–2.99 are considered Beginner to Intermediate.
• If you’re unsure of your skill level, feel free to contact the Tournament Director for advice.
