Welcome to the 3rd Annual "Dinkin' in the Delta" pickleball tournament in Greenwood, MS on October 11th & 12th, 2024!! The Dinkin' in the Delta Open will be an incredibly fun, exciting, and competitive event for players of all ages and levels! Players can compete in doubles and mixed doubles events, (no additional fee if playing in 2 events). There will be the following skill brackets players can sign-up for: 3.0 & Under, 3.5 Only, and 4.0 & Above.

PRIZE MONEY: $1,000 prize money will be split between all 4.0 and Above events)!

Matches will be played at Wagner Park which features 8 new dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets! A backup location will be Twin Rivers indoor dedicated pickleball courts (4 courts). All the winners from each skill level bracket will receive a gift! Come play, compete, and experience a pickleball event you won’t want to miss!

Tournament match schedule:

Mixed Doubles- Friday, October 11th starting not before 4:00pm.

Men’s Doubles & Women’s Doubles – Saturday, October 12th, 2024

Tournament Format:

*Everyone is guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches per event.

*We will try to make each draw a Round Robin format so everyone get to play as many matches as possible.

*If certain draws get too large, then the teams will be divided into two or more pools and the top teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine winners.

*Skill Level: For doubles and mixed doubles, you must sign up at the skill level of the higher rated partner. Players with a PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with a USAPA UTPR rating, but no PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with neither rating may self rate.

Ratings will be verified by the club at point of registration. The tournament reserves the right to move players and teams between skill level brackets/events.

*Registering Together as a Team: For a guaranteed spot in mixed doubles or doubles, the second partner must sign up within 10 days of the first partner's registration. Incomplete teams will be moved to the waiting list after that. Once the second partner registers, they will be moved back into the event if there is still availability in the event.

Spectators must sit in designated viewing areas. Feel free to bring your own chair.

A full refund for withdrawals from the tournament up through September 14th, 2024.

NO refunds for any reason after September 14th, 2024.

*Replacement Players/Subbing entry fees may be transferred to a replacement player/sub of similar skill level at any time up through the day before of the event. The new replacement player must be similar level to the original player.

The total prize money purse is $1,000 which will be split between the 4.0 & Above divisions (min. 5 teams must register per 4.0 & Above division to qualify for the prize money purse. Ex. 5 teams registered in 4.0 & Above Women's doubles are now eligible to compete for $330).

4.0 & Above Men's Doubles- Winners get $330 per Team

4.0 & Above Women's Doubles- Winners get $330 per Team

4.0 & Above Mixed Doubles- Winners get $340 per Team

Inclement weather policy: A full refund (minus $10 processing fee) will be applied if the tournament is cancelled before the start date. No refunds after the start of the tournament.
