Tournament Description
Dinko De Mayo at the Veterans Park, Hamilton NJ will be an exciting, fun and competitive event, scheduled between May 16th 2025 and May 18th 2025, the tournament will take place at the dedicated pickleball courts @ Veterans Park Tennis & Pickleball Complex, Hamilton NJ. There will be fun, raffles and plenty of pickleball games. Playing in this event in outdoor could help you and your partner prepare for the upcoming 2025 "Golden Ticket Qualifier" APP New York City Open held outdoors the next weekend.
Friday May 16th : Men's & Women's Singles, Men's Skinny Singles & Women's Skinny Singles, Mixed Split age
Saturday May 17th : Men's & Women's doubles
Sunday May 18th : Mixed doubles & Co-ed Split age Open
The tournament accommodates various skill levels (ranging from 3.0 to 5.0+) and age brackets (9-49, 50+).
NOTE: Score count towards DUPR and this tournament will use DUPR rating for event sign-ups.

Early bird registration is only $50 is registered before April 1st 2025 , which includes a tournament shirt and medals for the winners.
Registration cost for this tournament is $50.
Singles/Skinny Singles event is $20
Gender Doubles event is $20 and mixed event is $25.
Each Open level ($$$) event is $35.
Pickleball brackets also charges a $5 service fee per event with the maximum being $10 on top during checkout.
Start times will not be announced until registration closes! This is because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released 1 or 2 days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Tournament Format and Rules:
Please carefully read this important information in its entirety. All 2025 USA Pickleball Rules Apply
For key points of the 2025 USA Pickleball rules read the documents @ https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/. However, as a player, you are responsible for being familiar with the rules in their entirety.
The tournament is designed to provide a fair and competitive environment for all participants, adhering to a structured format and set of rules.
General Guidelines:
Round Robin Format: All tournament events will follow a round robin format, except for the open ($$$) divisions.
Events:
Division Merging: Divisions with one to three teams may be merged with another division at our discretion. We will ensure not to mix different skill levels and will avoid proceeding with a draw if there are fewer than four entrants, unless absolutely necessary.
Pool Play: During Round Robin pool play, matches will be a single game to either 15 or 11 points depending on pool size, with a requirement to win by 2 points. The target score will be determined based on the bracket.
Playoffs and Medal Rounds: These stages will maintain the Round Robin format, featuring a single game to 15 points, also requiring a win by 2 points, if time permits we will consider 2 out of 3 for gold medal matches.
Double Elimination format: Open divisions with six or more teams will participate in a double elimination format. Winners bracket matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11, while all opportunity bracket matches, including the bronze medal match, will be a single game to 15. Gold medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11.
Skill Level and Age Brackets:
Participants must compete at the skill level of the higher-rated player or above. Unrated players may be moved to a higher bracket if deemed appropriate by the organizers. In age-based brackets, the bracket is determined by the age of the younger partner.
Format may be abbreviated if necessary due to any unforeseen circumstance, but the tournament directors will do the best they can to get all matches played and keep regular format.
TD Authority:
The Tournament Director (TD) and Committee reserve the right to modify the format of any bracket, division, or level as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the event. They also have the authority to change any rules or policies as needed. This adaptability is essential for responding to unforeseen circumstances and for enhancing the tournament experience for all participants.
T-Shirt Deadline:
The T-shirt deadline is April 30th, 2025
Refund Policy
Pickleball bracket fees and Stripe fees are non-refundable for all withdrawals.
Any player who withdraws before the deadline of April 22nd, 2025, will be charged a $10.00 withdrawal fee. There will be no refunds for any withdrawals after May 1st, 2025.
The T-SHIRT DEADLINE is April 30th, 2025 as well.
In the event of inclement weather, we will move the entire tourney/un-played matches to "Robbinsville Pickle House" largest indoor facility 6.5 miles (10mins away from Veterans Park, Hamilton, NJ) .
We will do our best to play the matches while prioritizing the safety of the players. In-case if we have to cancel the event due to weather, players will be entitled to a 75% refund.
Prize Money
The prize money for 4.5+ $$$ Senior and 5.0+ $$$ open brackets will be divided proportionally based on the number of players registered.
These brackets will allocate ($30 per player) towards the prize pool. The payouts will be distributed as follows: 60% to the gold medalists, 25% to the silver medalists, and 15% to the bronze medalists. The total prize money will depend on the number of players registering for each open bracket.
For co-ed split age Open event $20 from each players event fee will go towards prize money for that event. Payouts for each event will be split as follows. Gold medalists get 60%, silver medalists get 25%, bronze medalists get 15%.
Additionally, All amateur bracket gold medal winners will receive gifts/prizes.
