It's two tournaments in one! Firstly we are running mens and women's doubles matches, singles matches, and pro matches for a cash prize.

But for the MIXED DOUBLES component...It's a TEAM TOURNAMENT just like the MLP! (Major League Pickleball). The QPA is proud to announce the first of its kind in the Bay of Quinte area, a TEAM TOURNAMENT that follows the format of Major League Pickleball

4 people to a team. 2 women, 2 men. Skill level and age set the Division for your Team.

Each registration gives you entry into 1 event.

We will be hosting various Singles, Women's Doubles, and Mens Doubles tournament matches, of which will all count towards your DUPR rating.

In addition, we will be including the 4.0+ Open all ages tournament with a cash prize of $500 for the winning team.

All MIXED games will be within the framework of a Team Tournament format.

The Team Tournament structure is as follows:

There are 4 pickleball games per Team vs Team Match, each a standard game up to 11 win by 2

First is Women's doubles, followed by Men's doubles, followed by 2 mixed doubles games, in which each team determines one man and one woman play together for the first mixed game, and the other man and woman play together for the second mixed game.

A team gets 3 points for a win in regulation (4-0 or 3-1)

If the score is tied 2-2 after all 4 games have been played, a tiebreaker (DREAMBREAKER) rally style up to 21 in which all 4 groups play 5 rally points each until the first team reaches 21, winning the game only on a serve. Winning team gets 2 points, losing team gets 1.

Following the Round Robin, the top two teams in each pool, or top 4 if one large pool, compete for the medals. Teams will advance based upon Total Points earned. While winning 3-1 or 4-0 means 3 points for the team, should two teams tie for a playoff position, the team with more individual game wins will advance.

Each Team vs Team Match lasts up to an hour, and each player plays 2 of the 4 games, one gender double game, and one mixed game.

To register for the Team Tournament, select the Division you wish to compete in, reflective of your current mixed doubles DUPR rating- If you have selected a lower skill level than your DUPR we will contact you to correct it into the proper Skill level- THEREFORE YOU MUST USE YOUR MIXED DOUBLES DUPR RATING. Please enter your mixed partner, and then decide on a Team Captain. The Captain will email us directly at pickleballquinte.com to tell us who the other 2 players on your team will be, the Team name, and what colour (if chosen) they wish to represent. The two MIXED couples will serve to represent the two men and the two women on the team for the same gender matches. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY TEAMS AND HAVE A MIXED PARTNER BUT DON'T KNOW OF ANOTHER COUPLE TO PLAY WITH, EMAIL US AND WE WILL MATCH YOU UP WITH ANOTHER COUPLE IN THE SAME BOAT. THE MORE TEAMS THE MORE WICKED THE FUN!

This format will bring together a true sense of fun and comradery, cheering on not only ourselves when we play our games, but our teammates when they play theirs. It's time to have some serious FUN!!!

The QPA will once again be filled with Music, Food, Fun, and of course.... BEER!

It's called DINKTOBERFEST for a reason...

Each registration allows you to participate in 1 event.

An additional $20 will be charged per event if you wish to play in additional events.

Net Proceeds will be donated to Hospice Quinte. Should you only be able to register for one event, feel good knowing that you're contributing to the Hospice Centre, helping to care and comfort for the aging parents, family members, and loved ones in our community.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to expand Division numbers or reduce/combine age groups depending upon the demographic of the registrants.

There will be various games with referees, our goal is to have referees for various round robin games and for all medal games.

Refunds are for the amount you paid LESS $10 which will be granted for withdrawals prior to October 1 at 8pm. Please note that if you withdraw and then re-register you will pay the PickleballBrackets Service Fees again.

Service Fees for PickleballBrackets are non-refundable.

There are no refunds beginning October 1 at 8pm.

Registration closes on October 8 at 8pm.

The 4.0+ Open will award a $500 prize to the winning team.

All Divisions of Singles, Doubles, and Team Tournaments, will offer Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.

This is an indoor event. There is no issue regarding weather.

This is an INDOOR event.

There will be Beer on the premises so we ask that everyone drink responsibly.

There is an AED onsite, and we will have various medically trained professionals in the building.
