The 2024 APC Doubles Summer Blast Tournament will be held September 21, 2024 at the East Lake Tennis and Pickleball Courts in Airdrie, AB. It is open to all players 12 years of age and older. All registrants must be members of Pickleball Canada. Pricing is $50 for APC members and $60 for non-APC members (PB Brackets fees are the responsibility of the player.)

Registration will open on Wednesday July 10 at 8:00 a.m. MST and will close at on August 5th, 2024 at 12 midnight MST.

This tournament will be skill based as follows,

- 2.99 and under, any age.

- 3.0-3.49 ages 59 and under and 60+

- 3.5-3.99 ages 59 and under and 60+

- 4.0+ any age

Format:

All events will offer a Round Robin pool-play format.

The top-two teams from each pool or Top 4 for single round-robin bracket will move forward to the next round. If there are 3 pools the over all first and second ranked teams will get a bye.

All pool-play matches, as well as all pre-medal matches, will be one game to 15, win by 2 points. The gold medal matches will be best two-out-of-three games, Games to 11 win by two points.

This is a Canadian Pickleball format.

This is an outside evert! It will probably be hot. Please take that into consideration when planning your day and bring lots of water to drink.

Parking: No Fee

There will be limited onsite parking. Car pooling is always encouraged. There will be NO overnight camping or parking allowed.

Please be courteous to those around you as there might be other sports being played in the surrounding areas.

Please bring shade and chair if you want it. There will be no seating available in the courts.

CANCELLATIONS

Withdrawals from the tournament before August 5, 2024, will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

No refunds or credits for any reason after August 5, 2024. Refunds will be issued within 14 days after the tournament.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

This event is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, we will do all we can to play the matches.

If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.
