At the DUPR De Mayo Pickleball Tournament, the health and safety of our players, spectators, and staff are our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone participating in the event.
1. Player Health & Well-Being
Players are encouraged to stay hydrated and take necessary breaks to prevent heat-related illness.
Anyone feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness should refrain from participation and notify tournament officials immediately.
2. Emergency Preparedness
In case of an emergency, medical personnel and first aid stations will be accessible at the venue.
AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) will be available, and tournament staff will be trained in CPR and basic first aid.
Emergency evacuation routes and procedures will be clearly posted and announced before matches begin.
3. Heat & Weather Precautions
Shade areas and cooling stations will be provided to help players and spectators stay cool.
Matches may be delayed or adjusted in cases of extreme heat, lightning, or severe weather conditions.
Sunscreen and protective gear are recommended for all participants.
4. Court Safety & Equipment
Players must wear proper footwear to reduce the risk of slipping or injury.
Courts will be inspected regularly to ensure they are free of hazards.
Players should avoid reckless play that could endanger themselves or others.
5. COVID-19 & Communicable Illnesses
Players and spectators are encouraged to practice good hygiene, including handwashing and sanitizing.
If any participant exhibits symptoms of illness, they should self-isolate and seek medical attention.
Health guidelines will be followed in accordance with local and national health authorities.
