Some people leave a mark that time simply cannot erase. Emmanuel “Eman” Browning was one of those people.
As we come together to honor Eman’s life, we are incredibly grateful for the support of JOOLA, whose partnership is helping make this memorial tournament possible. Their generosity and belief in the power of community allows us to celebrate Eman in a meaningful way, bringing players together for a weekend that reflects the spirit he carried everywhere he went.
At just 18 years old, Eman carried a warmth and presence that filled every room he walked into. A proud Portage Northern Huskie, a devoted son, a loyal friend and a #58 who played every down like it meant something, because to him, it did.
His coaches and teammates will tell you he wasn’t just a standout defensive lineman; he was the heartbeat of the team. The one who lifted others up without ever asking for credit.
In the summer of 2025, Eman discovered pickleball, and in true Eman fashion, he didn’t just fall in love with the game, he immediately started thinking about how to share it with everyone around him.
That was just who he was.
On November 2, 2025, we lost him far too soon in a senseless tragedy on US 131. But his spirit? That doesn’t leave.
This tournament is for him.
Join us for the Eman #58 Memorial Pickleball Tournament, June 26–28 at Pickleball 365 in Fair Haven, Michigan — a three-day celebration of community, competition and the life of a young man who made everyone around him better.
Every participant takes home a JOOLA backpack loaded with premium merchandise ($300 value), a generous contribution from JOOLA in support of this event and in honor of Eman’s legacy. Their partnership helps bring this community together in a way that reflects the spirit of generosity and connection that Eman embodied.
Funds raised will go directly toward a scholarship fund, ensuring that Eman’s legacy lives on in the next generation of Huskies who carry the same grit, heart and character that defined him.
Held in Michigan’s only Johns Design & Consulting (JDC) certified, state-of-the-art facility. The tournament offers various divisions, ensuring everyone from beginners to advanced players can compete at their level.
All scores will be reported to DUPR. ALL players will be required to have or create a DUPR account during registration.
