The Fall 2026 DMV Senior Open is a United States Senior Pickleball (USSP) circuit event, with registration limited to players age 50 (based on age as of Dec. 31, 2026) and above. Playing this event qualifies participants to register for the USSP National Tournament in Casa Grande, AZ on Nov. 30-Dec. 5, 2026. All USSP members receive a $10 discount off the registration for the first event by including your USSP membership number at time of registration. USSP registration is just $20 per year, so please consider becoming a USSP member before registering if you're not a member already.
The Fall 2026 DMV Senior Open will take place at the Montgomery TennisPlex located in Boyds, MD from Sep. 18-Sep. 20. Singles event will be scheduled for Friday, Sep. 18, gender doubles on Saturday, Sep. 19, and mixed doubles on Sunday, Sep. 20. Start Times will be provide by no later than Wednesday, Sep. 17. Depending on registration and scheduling needs, some gender double matches may be played on Friday, Sep. 18, but all efforts will be made to limit the number of doubles matches played that day.
The tournament will have 5 age categories (ages 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+) and 3 skill levels (DUPR 3.499 and below which will be called 3.0, 3.500-3.999 which will be called 3.5, and 4.0 and above which will be called 4.0+) and all results will be submitted to DUPR. All players are guaranteed at least 3 games with most players getting 4 games or more.
The registration fee is $50 for the first event and $25 for each additional event during the early registration period from June 10-Aug. 31. From Sep. 1 to the end of the registration period at 6:00 pm on September 13, the registration fee for the first event increases to $65 for the first event with each additional event remaining at $25. An additional Pickleball.com service fee of $5 per player for up to the first 2 events will be added to the registration fee.
The Tournament Director has the discretion to merge brackets to ensure everyone can play a minimum of 3 games and for other scheduling purposes. However, as a USSP circuit event, medals will be given out for each 5 year age grouping, even if age groupings are merged. All decisions by the Tournament Director are final.
Registration will open at 10:00 Eastern Time on June 10, with early registration closing on August 31 and final registration closing at 6:00 pm on September 13.
