Come join Family Care Center of Catawba Valley for our 1st EVER Pickleball Tournament held at Rock Barn Country Club. All proceeds will go to Family Care Center to help with operating costs for our emergency and transitional shelters for homeless families with dependent children.
TOURNAMENT:
Friday: Beginner Doubles
Friday Evening: Moneyball
Saturday: Men's & Women's Doubles
Sunday: Mixed Doubles
REGISTRATION FEE:
Tournament registration fee is $50, plus $10 for each event (Moneyball event fee $50).
FORMAT:
Tournament Director reserves the option to modify event formats, combine or split brackets, etc. as needed depending on registrations. If brackets are combined, awards will be based on the original division.
PRIZES:
There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each event.
PARTNERS:
- Each player needs to register separately.
- You may register and identify your partner, or request "Need partner".
- Your identified partner must register within 14 days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. If the identified partner registers after the team has moved to the wait list, the team will automatically move back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid.
- If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to.
- NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.
RATINGS:
- A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player.
- Pickleball Brackets ratings will be used.
- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.
- Players who have an official USAPA UTPR or DUPR rating but NO PickleballBrackets.com rating, MUST self-rate using their UTPR or DUPR rating.
- Players with a UTPR or DUPR that is higher than their Pickleball Bracket rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.
FOOD/BEV:
- Water and bananas provided for players. Please bring your own water bottles; you may refill them at the courts.
Bring family and friends to enjoy lunch or dinner and watch the action!
- Food will be available for purchase from the onsite Fresh Chef restaurant.
- A bar serving beer, wine, and soft drinks will be set up at the courts.
