Welcome to Del Norte Club's February Moneyball Tournament!

This is a non-sanctioned outdoor tournament with skill divisions in Men's Doubles. There will be a 4.0-4.5 bracket and a 4.5 and above bracket. Tournament matches will take place on 6 brand-new permanent pickleball courts and 2 temporary courts. This Moneyball Tournament is a FIXED-PARTNER ROUND ROBIN style event geared to reward top place finishers with cash and other prizes. DUPR ratings will be used to verify bracket eligibility & SCORES WILL BE ENTERED INTO DUPR. All participants must have a DUPR account - if you do not have an account by a week before the event, a Del Norte staff member will be reaching out to have you set one up.

In order to facilitate fair play in all divisions, we will be looking at all players' DUPR ratings. As there is money on the line, DUPR ratings will be verified, and those who are registered for brackets below their DUPR rating may be asked to move up a skill bracket. EVEN IF your DUPR rating fits within the noted skill brackets, Del Norte reserves the right to ask individuals to change skill brackets.

Registration is $75 per event per player.

Minimum of 8 teams per bracket in order to win cash prize.

Round Robin: Games to 11, win by 2, switch sides at 6 points. If a tie exists at the completion of the bracket, head to head matchups and then points won will be used to determine finish placement.

Playoffs: Top 2 teams of each pool at the end of pool play will move on to playoffs. The first round of playoffs is a game to 15, win by 2. Winners move on to the gold medal match, losers of that game will play for bronze. The medal matches are best 2 out of 3, games to 11 win by 2.

Timeouts: Games to 11 - 1 time out per team.

Matches may start as early as 8am, and may run as late as 9pm

Tournament is non-sanctioned and self-refereed. All events will be round-robin. Minimum bracket size: 6 teams, maximum bracket size: 16 teams. Brackets larger than 8 teams will be split into pools with a playoff bracket format. Match formats will be either 1 game to 11, win by 2, or best 2/3 games to 11, win by 2.

Medal matches will have a Del Norte staff member referee.

The Cancellation Deadline is 2/1/25 Full refunds (less a nonrefundable service fee) will be given through this date; however, there will be no refunds after this date.

750$ will be awarded to the first place team in each division. Second place will receive 250$. Third place will not receive prize money, but will receive a prize.

If there is short term inclement weather during the tournament, we will adjust match times to fit everyone in. If there is a significant length of inclement weather, the tournament will be postponed for the following weekend.
