Welcome to the First Annual Special Olympics Pickleball Palooza Tournament. (SOPPT) This tournament is a charity event for the Atlantic City Aces Pickleball Program, which gives athletes with physical and learning disabilities the opportunity to play the game we all love! Importantly, all players of every level are welcome to join this tournament. $2500 4.5+ open and 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 skilled players.
VENUE
The tournament will be held at Pickle Juice in Ventnor, (5038 Wellington Ave, Ventnor City, NJ 08406) featuring 5 beautiful and dedicated indoor courts. There will be an open area for fans and players for social gatherings and to check out our silent auction. Also, there will be food trucks and a huge after-party, with plenty of door prizes. No food or drinks, except bottled water, will be allowed on the playing courts.

Friday, January 2nd - Men's and Women's 3.0 Doubles (All ages combined), Men's and Women's 4.5+ Open (Prize Money)
Saturday, January 3rd - Men's and Women's Doubles 3.5 and 4.0
Sunday, January 4th - Mixed Doubles - All levels
Times/schedule are subject to change.
EVENT FORMAT
In round robin matches, the first team to reach 11 or 15 points, (based on number of teams) while winning by 1 point, wins the game.
In medal matches, best two out of three to 11, win by 2.
There is a four game guarantee for each event.
Playoffs/medal rounds are decided by W/L record, then point differential as a tie breaker

Only paddles that are approved for use by USA Pickleball (USAP) or United Pickleball Association of America (UPA-A) are to be allowed at the tournament.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Skill/Age Brackets:
Friday, January 2nd: 3.0 Men's and Women's Doubles (All ages combined),
Men's and Women's 4.5+ Open (Prize Money),
Saturday, January 3rd: Men's and Women’s Doubles: 3.5 & 4.0 Two age groups: 49 and under & 50+
Sunday, January 4th: Mixed Doubles - 3.0 (All ages combined), 3.5, 4.0 - Two age Groups: 49 and under & 50+, 4.5+ Open (PrizeMoney)
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each bracket.
Some events may have different age groups. We reserve the right to combine/adjust age groups of the same skill levels based on the number of registrants per event. If a player or team is unable to compete in the newly established event, a refund will be provided minus a $10.00 processing fee.
FEES
Registration fee is $65.00. Each event is an additional $20.00.
Pickleball Brackets charges a $5 non-refundable fee per event. It is capped at two events.

Please include your shirt size while registering. Late registration may not include a shirt.

WAIT LIST
If you are on the waiting list for a specific event, we will not charge you for this specific event. Once you are off the waiting list, we will send you an email to notify you to pay for the event. You have seven days to pay for the event. Otherwise, you will go back to the waiting list. Make sure to pay attention to all emails from us (company name) and pay immediately when prompted.
