FPC Club Tournament

This tournament is a warm-up for the Atlantics (from technology, operations and partner-practice standpoints). It will be skill (and age) based and be played at the Currie Center on the UNB campus.
ELIGIBILITY
- This is a closed tournament and only for active FPC members.
- All players must be a member or a registered participant of Pickleball Canada. To join or renew your membership go to https://pickleballcanada.org and click the join/renew button in the top right corner.
COVID RESTRICTIONS
- UNB requires all players to wear a mask when not playing.
REGISTRATION
- Registration opens on March 22, 2022 at 8 AM and closes April 22, 2022 at 9 PM (Atlantic time).
- When registering, if you have a partner, choose 'I Have' and select him/her. If you do not have a partner but wish to play in an event, select ‘I Need’ (which will allow other players to contact you).
- Registration will be considered complete when both players are registered. If only one player is registered, the partner has 5 days to complete the team registration. After 5 days, unregistered teams will be moved to the waitlist and your position cannot be guaranteed if divisions reach capacity if both players are not registered.
FORMAT
- Current International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) rules will apply.
- Players must be 19 years of age or older any time in 2022 in order to compete.
- Age brackets are 19-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+ (your age on December 31, 2022).
- Skill will be divided by ‘3.0 and below’, ‘3.5 only’ and '4.0 and above' for Doubles play.
- The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level.
- The tournament committee reserves the right to combine events.
- Events will be round robin with a single elimination playoff.
- All players are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches per event.
SCHEDULE
- Saturday, May 7th 8:30 am - Men & Women Doubles
- Saturday, May 7th 12 noon - Mixed Doubles
- If playing both events please bring a lunch as there is not enough time for a scheduled lunch break
COST
- The registration fee is $20 whether you play in 1 or 2 events.
