Health & Safety
The safety and well-being of our players, staff, volunteers, and guests is a top priority at the Friendly City Fall Mountain Classic.
Player Responsibility
Players are responsible for assessing their own ability to participate and should not play if they are experiencing an illness, injury, or condition that could make participation unsafe.
Players should bring appropriate athletic clothing, court shoes, water, sunscreen, and any personal medications or supplies they may need.
Hydration & Weather
Because this is an outdoor tournament, players should stay properly hydrated and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
Tournament officials may delay, suspend, modify, or cancel play if weather, court conditions, or other circumstances create an unsafe playing environment.
Injuries
Players who become injured during play should immediately notify the tournament director or tournament staff.
Players should not continue playing if doing so could worsen an injury or create a safety risk.
Emergency Situations
In the event of an emergency, tournament staff will contact emergency services when appropriate. Players should follow the instructions of tournament officials, venue staff, and emergency personnel.
Court Safety
Players must follow all posted court rules and tournament instructions. Appropriate non-marking court shoes are required.
Players should remain aware of their surroundings and avoid entering an active court while play is underway.
Spectators & Children
Children and spectators must remain in designated safe areas and may not enter active courts or playing areas while matches are in progress. Children should not be left unattended.
Sportsmanship
Friendly City Pickleball is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive tournament environment. Players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and treat fellow players, officials, volunteers, and venue staff with respect.
Tournament officials reserve the right to address unsafe or inappropriate behavior and, when necessary, remove a participant from play or the event.
By registering for the Friendly City Fall Mountain Classic, players acknowledge the outdoor nature of the event and agree to follow tournament, venue, and safety requirements.
