Saturday, August 1st – Mens/Womens Doubles/ Men's & Women's TEAM events
Sunday, August 2nd – Mixed Doubles / Mixed Doubles Team events
Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5+, Open divisions
Age Divisions: 18+, 50+
# of Courts: 12 Indoor-Non air conditioned Courts (tennis court Surface)
Cost: $50 Registration fee (includes 1 event), $10 event fee per individual event, $20 event fee for team event
Governing Body: USA Pickleball
DUPR ratings will be used to decide divisions. Please make sure your DUPR account and your pickleballtournaments.com account are synced.
Ball Used: Life Time LT Pro 48 Pickleball
Individual Event Format:
• Format will be Round Robin games 2 out of 3 games to 11 for event Brackets up to 5 teams, win by 2 (no playoff)
• Format will be Round Robin games 1 game to 15 for brackets with 6 or 7 teams, win by 2. (no Playoff)
• Brackets with 8-10 teams will be pool play, round robins consisting of 1 game to 15 with playoff between top 4 teams (top 2 teams in each pool will make playoffs); Semifinals will be 1 game to 15 with Gold/Bronze matches playing 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.
• All the above formats are win by 2.
• This gives a 3 game minimum guarantee for all players.
• All games will be self-refereed.
• Brackets with less than 4 teams will be combined with another bracket.
Team Formats:
Women's and Men's Event
Each match will consist of 4 games to 11, win by 1. Sideout scoring.
*Teams will create a lineup of their 4 players: Player A, Player B, Player C, Player D.
*Match 1 and 2 will be played simultaneously;
*Match 3 and 4 will be played simultaneously.
Match 1: Team 1 Players A/B will play Team 2 players A/B
Match 2: Team 1 Players C/D will play Team 2 players C/D
Match 3: Team 1 Players A/B will play Team 2 players C/D
Match 4: Team 1 Players C/D will play Team 2 players A/B
Mixed Doubles Event
Each match will consist of 4 games to 11, win by 1. Sideout scoring. . Women's Doubles (WD), Men's Doubles (MD) and 2 mixed doubles (MXD1 and MXD2)
*Match WD and MD will be played simultaneously;
*Match MXD1 and MXD2 will be played simultaneously.
Organizations involved:
• Mary Beth Henthorne, local USA Ambassador, will be setting up registration, capturing registration and payments, building brackets, creating start times, answering player questions, etc.
• Bryan City Employees and volunteers will be on the ground DURING the tournament running the events.
