Welcome to the 2024 GAMMA Pickleball Classic!

We are excited to bring the tournament outdoors! All of the amenities that you have become used to at the Convention Center will be present outdoors! We will have a temperature controlled bathroom trailer, plenty of food trucks on site and parking attendants to coordinate ease of parking! In addition, we're excited to have a beer garden and many vendors. ALL MEDAL MATCHES AND MONEYBALL MATCHES WILL BE REFEREED!

This year's tournament will take place September 12-15, 2024 at the Washington's Landing pickleball courts in Pittsburgh. We will have 16 courts available for play! See below for the schedule of events:

THURSDAY - Men's and Women's Doubles - ages 60+

FRIDAY - Men's and Women's Doubles - ages under 60

SATURDAY - Mixed Doubles - all ages

SATURDAY EVENING - $1,000 Moneyball - open co-ed event

SUNDAY- Men's and Women's Singles - all ages

SUNDAY PM - Special Olympics Showcase

AMATEUR EVENTS ARE LIMITED TO 12 TEAMS PER BRACKET.

BOTH TEAM MEMBERS MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO SECURE YOUR SPOT IN THE BRACKET.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON MAY 1, 2024!

All registrations must be completed online. Payments can be made via PayPal with an account and/or credit/debit card. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay with a credit/debit card.

FORMAT OF PLAY:

All amateur play will be round robin (pool play) with playoffs. All teams/players will play a minimum of 4 games. Round robins will consist of a minimum of 4 teams and a maximum of 6 teams. Top 4 teams/players will advance to a playoff. If a bracket consists of more than 2 pools of 6 teams/players, there is a potential for 6 teams/players to advance to playoffs. Scoring for round robin will be 1 to 15 by 2. Medal matches will be 2/3 to 11 by 2. **minimum / maximum teams may change depending on registrations.**

Tournament REGISTRATIONS will be managed on a first come / first registered basis - meaning division limits may be changing throughout the tournament registration process. Please register for your bracket / or the waitlist and we WILL work to maximize all registrations.

IF THE BRACKET IS COMBINED, ONLY ONE SET OF MEDALS IS AWARDED TO THE TOP THREE (3) PLAYERS/TEAMS OF THE COMBINED BRACKET

All scores will be uploaded to DUPR. Please make sure your paddle is USAP approved! All paddles in play must be on the USAP approved list!

CANCELLATION DEADLINE - September 01, 2024

Withdrawals before September 01, 2024 will receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

If you registered and paid the registration fee and were put on the wait list; you will not be charged the event fee until you are actually moved into the event. If you do not move off the wait list; a full refund will be issued at the end of the tournament. The cancellation fee will not apply.

**The PT Software Fee is non-refundable as stated on the checkout**

Refunds will be issued 7- 10 days at the completion of the tournament.

Event fees:

Registration fee - $70

Event fee - $15 per event

$1000 MONEY BALL GAMMA CLASSIC BRACKET

Rules:

- This is a coed bracket - both male and female players will be accepted, based on their DUPR at the time or registration. A player's individual rating must be 5.5 and under.

- Play will consist of both gender and mixed doubles in one bracket.

- Partner required at time of registration.

- Partner has 36 hours to register or the team will be moved to the wait list.

- Registration fee - $50 per person.

- Registration is limited to 16 teams. If less than 10 teams register, the prize payout will be adjusted accordingly.

- Format: Double Elimination, 2/3 games to 11 win by two. Loser's bracket: games 1-15 win by two. There is no come around from the loser's bracket.

- There will be a waiting list - when someone withdraws, a team on the waiting list will take their place. If a team withdrawal happens after 6 pm the day before the event, no waitlisted teams will be moved to the main event.

-Partner replacements are allowed until 6 pm the day before the event.

- 1st place - $600

- 2nd place - $400

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The Gamma Pickleball Classic is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs the tournament staff will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

Monday, September 16 is available as a potential to play any rain delayed or cancelled matches!
