REGISTRATION

$85 per player. Current Golden Gate Pickleball members and HUB Alameda members can save $20 off registration. FORMAT

Pool Play: All events will follow a round-robin format, with each match consisting of 1 game to 15, win by 2.

Exceptions -

Open and Gold Medal Matches: Best of 3 games to 11, win by 2.

Timeouts -

Games to 15: 2 timeouts per team

Games to 11: 1 timeout per team

Playoffs -

At the end of pool play, the top 4 teams in each skill division will advance to the playoffs.

Semifinals: Winners advance to the Gold Medal Match; losers play for Bronze.

START TIMES

Once divisions are finalized, players will receive an email with approximate start times a few days before the event.

Doors Open: 7:00 AM

Play Begins: 8:00 AM sharp

The event is expected to conclude by 7:00 PM.

Ball: Franklin X-40

Paddles: Must be on the USAP or UPA-A approved list

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Brackets may be split or combined based on registration numbers.

We will prioritize combining age groups before adjusting skill levels.

All formats are subject to change based on participation and time constraints.

All scores will be reported to DUPR.

AMATEUR & OPEN LEVEL EVENTS

The events offered are for mixed doubles from the 3.0 to 5.0 and open levels. The Open level event is intended for players with at least a 4.5+ DUPR Rating; however, lower ratings may be entered upon tournament director approval.

***IMPORTANT NOTE*** GGP reserves the right to move you to a different bracket if your rating exceeds the bracket due to limitations in the software (Ex: you're a 4.3 and you signup for the 3.5 - 4.0 bracket, you're going to be moved to the 4.0 - 4.5 bracket).

DISCOUNTS

Golden Gate Pickleball Club and Hub members can save $20 (making the registration fee $65). To qualify for the discount, you must be a member of Golden Gate Pickleball Club or Hub.

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY

To be confirmed, players must be paid and have a registered and paid partner. Players not paid and without registered and paid partners will be moved to a waitlist if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY

After registration is closed, any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement partner must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Players can play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to the registration contact by 6pm the day before you are scheduled to play. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.

REFUND POLICY

Withdrawals made on or before July 11, 2025 will receive a refund, minus a $10 processing fee.

No refunds will be issued for withdrawal requests after July 12, 2025.

All refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the tournament.

Mixed Doubles Divisions & Prize Money - Signup in the bracket where your DUPR rating resides. There will be 2 age groups per division; 8 - 49, and 50+. Prize money will only be awarded to the Gold Medal winners in each division. There needs to be a minimum of 4 participating teams in the bracket to qualify for prize money. Example: if only 3 teams signup for a given bracket, no prize money will be awarded.
