At Glisson, camperships play an important role in ensuring that camp is accessible to everyone. Camperships, or camper scholarships, are awarded based on need and are intended to help campers who otherwise would not be able to attend camp at all without assistance. We encourage every family whose children would be unable to attend camp without support to apply for a campership.

Recent years have seen growth in the number of campership applications received each year. For Summer 2024, over $50,000 of campership funds have been requested and utilized by Glisson families.

While we are glad that families are accessing these funds in order to participate in the transformational experiences at Glisson, we must ensure that the Campership Fund is accessible for families well-into the future. Donating to the Campership Fund guarantees that these funds will be available for families to use when needed.

When registering for the Glisson Charity Pickleball Tournament, you are supporting the Campership Fund while participating in an incredibly fun event. All tournament-related profits, including funds from participant registrations, sponsorships, raffle ticket sales, and stand-alone donations will go directly towards the Campership Fund.

Together, we can make sure that no camper is ever unable to attend Glisson due to financial circumstances!

Discounts are available for participants registering for the Youth Bracket (open to 14-18 year olds) and Sparrowwood Bracket (open to individuals with special needs and disabilities). The discount codes are listed below:

--> Youth Bracket: “TEEN2024” → Lowers participant registration cost to $15.00

--> Sparrowwood Bracket: “SPWD2024” → Lowers participant registration cost to $0.00

All tournament participants will need to check-in before the event. During this time, participants will pick up their welcome packets and confirm their registration details. There are two opportunities to check-in before the tournament begins:

--> Early Check-In: Participants will be able to check-in on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00-8:00 PM at Glisson Camp and Retreat Center.

--> Tournament Check-In: Participants will be able to check-in on Saturday, August 24th from 7:30-9:00 AM at the Pinetree Recreation Center.

Payment is due upon completion of the registration process. This includes registration for the tournament, as well as any optional donations and/or raffle ticket purchases made during the registration process. Pending availability, the last day to register for the Glisson Charity Pickleball Tournament will be Saturday, August 10th.

Any cancellations made before Thursday, August 1st will be eligible to receive a refund of the registration fees. Donations, raffle ticket purchases, and registration system fees are not eligible for a refund. Any cancellations made after Thursday, August 1st will not be eligible for a refund.

In order to receive a refund of the registration fees before the cancellation deadline (Thursday, August 1st), notice of cancellation must be received by in writing in order to be processed. To cancel your registration, please email ian@ngcrm.org.

The Glisson Charity Pickleball Tournament is scheduled to be held using both indoor and outdoor courts, allowing for competition to continue in the event of rain.

In the event of inclement weather, the Glisson Charity Pickleball Tournament will be held indoors. If matches are moved indoors, tournament organizers may alter the competition format in order to ensure timely completion of play.
