Warm up in mid winter at the Gosford Winter Pickleball Tournament held from Friday 5 July to Sunday 8 July. Gosford is on the NSW Central Coast, about 1 hour's drive from Sydney.

Any member of Pickleball Australia can enter (members of Pickleball NSW are automatically members of Pickleball Australia).

This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED Tier 1 tournament where players can gain Australian Ranking (AR) points.

Global Federation Pickleball rules will be used. These can be found here: https://globalpickleballfederation.org/pickleball-rulebook/

The schedule of events will be:

Friday 5 July: Singles and skinny singles (50+ women only)

Saturday 6 July: Women's Doubles & Men's Doubles

Sunday 7 July: Mixed Doubles

Registration is $60 which includes entry into one event.

Each additional event costs $15.

Players can enter a maximum of 3 events - one per day.

Events in which players can accrue Australian Ranking Points are identified with (AR) in the event listing.

REGISTRATION

Registration is now open, with small numbers in many events due to short playing days during winter and no lights on most courts.

Registration Closes: 14 June 2024 @ 11pm or earlier if capacity is reached.

- To register you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Your profile must contain your contact number, email, PAA ID number and self rating (many new players start at 2.5).

- You may enter in more than one event during the tournament but all events need to be in a different categories e.g. Mixed Doubles, Doubles, Singles.

Events will be played on 26 outdoor pickleball courts.

Games will be to 15 points by 2 in round robin events with up to 5 teams, and up to 11 points by in round robin events with 6 or more teams.

Open events will based on the best of 3 games to 11 points by 2 with double elimination.

All players will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.

Fluro Green Franklin X40 balls will be used.

Referees will control all medal matches plus other games when possible.

It is a condition of entry that all attendees understand that they may be photographed or filmed at the event and that these images may be stored and used by PAA, PANSW or our sponsors on websites, social media and other purposes without express permission or payment.

Full refunds will be provided to players who withdraw for any reason - no questions asked – before close of registration (14 June) - excluding transaction and service fees.

After registration closes (14 June) provision of a medical certificate will ensure a full refund minus the transaction and service charges.

General withdrawal after the close of registration (14 June) will result in a $30 registration payment being retained to cover costs incurred.

Once draws and event times are published, NO refund will be given, except when a medical certificate can be provided.
