Welcome to the first annual Greater Gainesville Pickleball Open! Pepine Gives, a nonprofit 501c3 foundation of Pepine Realty, is creating a premier annual event for all pickleball players in the region.
Pepine Gives will donate 100% of the profits to Alachua Habitat for Humanity to provide housing for cost-burdened families in North Central Florida. Our mission is to improve and empower the lives of others, one person, one family, one community at a time.
The tournament will take place April 28th-30th at Northside Park and The 300 Club, two of Gainesville's top pickleball locations.
Northside Park has 4 dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets and 8 temporary courts with portable nets. The 300 Club has 4 dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets and 3 additional courts with portable nets.
Balls will be Engage Tour Neon 2.0.
2.0-4.5 brackets will be round robin style.
5.0+ will be a double elimination bracket.
All games are won by 2 points.
Each team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player or higher and the age of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2023.
Skill levels are: 2.5 and below, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0+. We will be using self-rating; PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO OTHERS AND ACCURATELY RATE YOURSELF.
Brackets will be assigned designated courts for the entire bracket. Teams will return to the tournament desk after their bracket has been completed to determine winners and present medals. Medals awarded to top three teams in each category.
No matches at this tournament will have referees. This tournament is not sanctioned by the USAPA.
