Tournament Bracketing System
DOUBLES FORMAT:
Brackets with 3 or less teams may be combined or set to teams playing the best 2 / 3 games, to 11, win by 2, switching ends between game 1 & 2 and switching ends at 6 in the 3rd game *if* a 3rd game is needed. Top seeded Teams move to a Single elim playoff bracket with a semi final round and then a gold medal match
Brackets with 4 teams will be combined OR one game to 15, win by 2, switch ends at 8 and all teams going to the playoffs where it's best 2/3 to 11, win by 2, switching ends between game one and two and at 6 in game 3, if a deciding game 3 is needed.
Gold medal match best 2/3 . Bronze 1 to 15.
Brackets with 5 teams will be Round Robin with all players going to the playoffs. All matches will be 1 to 15, win by 2, switch ends at 8.
Brackets with 6-7 teams will be 1 game to 15, win by 2, switch at 8 –
Top 4 seeded Teams move to a Single elim playoff bracket with a semi final round and then a gold and bronze medal match. All matches will be 1 to 15, win by 2, switch ends at 8.
Brackets with 8-9 teams will be 1 game to 11, win by 2, switch at 6 –
Top 4 seeded Teams move to a Single elim playoff bracket with a semi final round and then a gold and bronze medal match. Gold match 1 to 15, switch ends at 8, win by 2. Bronze match 1 to 15, switch ends at 8, win by 2.
Brackets with 10-11 teams will be split into 2 pools with teams playing 1 game to 15, win by 2, switch at 8 – ALL Teams from each side move to a Single elim playoff bracket with a gold and bronze medal match
Brackets with 12-14 teams will be split into 2 pools with teams playing 1 game to 15, win by 2, switch at 8 – Best 3 Teams from, each side move to a Single elim playoff bracket with a gold and bronze medal match.
Any bracket larger than 15+ teams may be split into any number of pools with any number of teams from each pool moving into the single elim playoffs…
SINGLES FORMAT: ALL Singles brackets are Round Robin ONLY. *With the exception of brackets with 10+ players, in which pools &/or playoffs may be needed*
Brackets with 3-5 players will be RR and may be combined or set to teams playing the best 2 / 3 games, to 11, win by 2, switching ends between game 1 & 2 and switching ends at 6 in the 3rd game *if* a 3rd game is needed.
Brackets with 6-7 players will be RR 1 game to 15, win by 2, switch ends at 8
Brackets with 8-9 players will be RR 1 game to 11, win by 2, switch ends at 6
Brackets with 11+ players will have pools with the best 1-2 (depending on number of pools/players) seeded players from each pool moving into a single elim playoff.
Brackets are subject to change by the Tournament Director at any time, including but not limited to leading up until the Tourney Start time and/or during the Tourney if the Tournament Director deems it necessary or beneficial to the Tournament or its participants.
