The Fourth Annual iPOW Open Pickleball Tournament is the largest tournament held in Amarillo, Texas, each year.

Here are the start times for the tournament:

Friday - June 6th

5:45 pm: Presentation of Colors/National Anthem

6:00 pm: Beach Blast Social Scramble

6:00 pm: Men's Singles Open Division

7:30 pm: Women's Singles Open Division

Saturday - June 7th

8:00 am: Women's Doubles 55+

8:00 am: Men's Doubles 55+

8:00 am: Women's Doubles 54 and Under

8:00 am: Men's Doubles 54 and Under

10:00 am: Men’s Doubles Open Division

10:00 am: Women’s Doubles Open Division

Sunday - June 8th

9:00 am: Mixed Doubles 55+

9:00 am: Mixed Doubles 54 and Under

11:00 am: Mixed Doubles Open Division

Play will be centered on the outdoor nine cross-fenced pickleball courts at Amarillo National Tennis Center. Some brackets will play on temporary taped courts outside or covered at the same venue. The inside courts will be used for weather and overflow related issues. The inside courts will be taped with temporary nets.

NOTE: If you play in the Open Division for one event, you must play all your events in the Open Division (with the exception of Singles because there are no age bracket choices).

This tournament is sponsored by iPOW Physical Therapy in Amarillo and the Amarillo Pickleball Club.

Friday night will also be a time for the Amarillo Pickleball Club to have one of its fun social gatherings providing food for those wishing to attend. The social event, Surf's Up, featuring surf and turf with dessert and mocktails (BYOB) is a cost of $15. The format for the Beach Blast Social Scramble is:

- A pickleball scramble with a "Shark Bite" twist.

- Players sign up as individuals.

- Players will rotate partners each game for six games and will play with others of all skill levels.

- Play one game to 11, win by 1.

- The top three women and top three men will medal, based on points. Other awards will be given.

- Each player will receive a "Beach Blast" t-shirt, goodie bag and will be in the drawing for giveaways.

- The emphasis is on adventure and fun and a way to meet new people!

Participation in this tournament is at the discretion of the Amarillo Pickleball Club. The Amarillo Pickleball Club may reject any registration or participation that may be viewed as unsafe or unfriendly to other participants based upon criminal records or past actions with Club members or others in the Amarillo pickleball community.

Brackets with low registration numbers will be combined as needed. Medals will be issued to all brackets even if combined.

Players in one or more open brackets (cash prizes) should not register in any non-open events.

We will work with any party that has a reasonable problem in order to get them a refund.

In the Open brackets, prizes of $200 per team will be given to gold medalists. Silver will receive $120/team and bronze $80/team ($100/$60/$40 for Men's Singles, and Women's Singles). There will be a half payout if there are 7 or fewer registrants.

Don't be outside if a thunderstorm is approaching or if you can hear thunder. We have had some issues, over the years, of vehicle break-ins in the parking area. They have almost always been when a purse is left in view. Lock valuables in the trunk.
