The Jamaica Open will use multiple scoring but mostly Jamaican Rally Scoring to 11,15, and 21 points. On arrival day and on Monday courts will be set aside to play a few games with Jamaican rally scoring to be completely at ease with the scoring. Ball girls will assist. Players should be prepared for playing in a hot sun and this scoring will keep matches shorter for water and sun breaks between games. The tournament committee is taking every precaution to guard against any heat problems. Bring a hat and your sun screen.
A hat or visor with tournament logo is part of your player gifts. The tournament will be using the Franklin X40 ball, gold, silver and bronze medals, cash prizes in Pickleball Serve Contest and Team tournaments. The serve contest held Sunday arrive day late afternoon and Monday morning is paid for with player entry and open to any family members for a fee of $10.US. The top eight players will win cash. The contest has three blocks and a target. The large 3pt block, small 5pt block, and smaller 7pt block closest to baseline. The target is worth 10 pts. Each player serves 6 serves three on each side.
