In the spirit of the holiday season, Reisel Rackets will be donating a percentage of proceeds raised at the Dink the Halls Pickleball Tournament to Philabundance. Philabundance is a Philadelphia based nonprofit food bank with a mission to drive hunger from local communities today and to end hunger for good. Philabundance serves communities throughout Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, including five counties in PA: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia; and four counties in NJ: Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem. To further support the efforts of Philabundance, we are asking and encouraging tournament participants and attendees to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items for donation to their holiday food drive.
Event Format: This is a Round Robin Tournament
4 teams - Double round robin, teams get 6 games to 11 win by 2. All 4 teams go to playoffs.
5 teams - Single round robin, teams get 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs.
6 teams - Single round robin, teams get 5 games to 15 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs.
7 teams - Single round robin, teams get 6 games to 11 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs.
8 teams - Two pools of 4 teams, double round robin, teams get 6 games to 11 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs.
9 teams - Two pools, one with 4 teams and one with 5 teams, single round robin, teams get 3 or 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 3 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.
10 teams - Two pools of 5 teams. Teams get 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs.
Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating.
Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.
Players above 50 years of age may play in the "50+" bracket or the "any age" bracket
Players below the age of 50 may not play in the "50+"
For brackets with 3 or less teams, the tournament director will need to combine brackets by age and/or skill level to make the bracket viable.
Please make sure your paddle is on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list.
We also invite participants to dress in festive holiday shirts for a bit of fun! Those that participate will be judged in three categories, ugliest, most creative, and most festive. During sign-in at the desk, you’ll receive ballots to vote for your favorite holiday-themed shirt in each of the respective categories. Winners in each category will receive prize.
