Tournament Overview
When: Events will run all day (approximately 7am - 10pm)
Where: Austin Tennis and Pickleball Center, Austin, Texas
Divisions: This tournament will include singles on Friday, men's doubles and women's doubles divisions on Saturday; mixed doubles divisions on Sunday. Additional men's doubles events are available on Friday.
Bracket Formats: All amateur play will be round robin (pool play) with playoffs for top teams.
Event Details
Minimum games: At least 3 matches are guaranteed to be scheduled; game minimum may not be met if players withdraw last minute. We seek to maximize the number of games players get based on the registration levels/court availability.
Check-In: Players must check in 30 minutes before their event starts. Otherwise, they might be withdrawn.
Tournament Balls: Balls will be provided and available at the registration desk; players must return balls after each match. The tournament will be using Selkirk S1 Pro balls.
Warm Up: Up to 5 minutes for first match of the day; up to 2 minutes for any additional matches. Open courts can be used for warm-up before the tournament starts.
Rules
Registration & Payment: Players/teams will be placed on the waitlist if payment is not received within 48 hours of registering.
Players without a partner: Players without partners will be moved to the waitlist 3 weeks before registration closes.
Sign up rules: Players can sign up for a max of one event per day. EXCEPTION: Men's Doubles 3.0 and 3.5 teams may also register for either Men's Singles 3.0 or Men's Singles 3.5 within the same day.
Skill level: Select a category that aligns with your past performance (e.g., don't play in a lower category if you medaled in a higher one). Players can play in higher levels. Tournament directors may move players to the appropriate skill level if they register for a lower one.
Tournament Rules: USAPA rules apply (https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/). Ask questions or report violations at the tournament desk. Tournament director reserves the right to interpret/modify USAPA rules for specific scenarios.
Paddle concerns: Report to the tournament desk. Opponents should be notified before the match if possible. Due to the amateur nature of the event, players will be given the opportunity to switch paddles (or forfeit) instead of automatic forfeit for non-approved paddles.
Referee: Players monitor calls; staff available for assistance with rules at the tournament desk.
Weather: No refunds for weather-related cancellations (outdoor tournament). We have a rain out weekend scheduled for May 9th, 10th, and 11th should we need to cancel a full day of events due to weather.
DUPR: Scores will be submitted to DUPR and should appear immediately Report discrepancies to support@mydupr.com after results are posted.
