ROUND ROBIN TIEBREAKER
During Round Robin when there is a head-to-head, the tie breaker logic is as followed:
1st tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won
2nd tie-breaker: points differential of all games played
3rd tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential
4th tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team
5th tie-breaker: match coordinator will refer to who has the higher DUPR/PBR score as individual or the average as a team
SKILL LEVEL
There are two ways to look at your skill level:
1) Pickleball.com self-rate tool. Pickleball.com requires that you “self-rate” your skills as you set up your profile. Make sure your self-rating is not lower than your DUPR.
2) DUPR rating. If your DUPR has a “no rating” or if your DUPR has a low number of games (which makes your rating unreliable), please take that into consideration as you self-rate on pickleball.com.
To determine which event to sign up for in this tournament, you can use this as a guide:
3.0 Event: Rating up to 3.24
3.5 Event: Rating between 3.25-3.74
4.0 Event: Rating between 3.75-4.24
4.5+ Event: Rating 4.25 and above
We understand your rating may fluctuate between now and the start of the tournament. Try your best to sign up for the most appropriate skill level.
DUPR/Pickleball.com ratings will be used to seed pools. The match coordinator may move you to another skill level based on your rating, especially if your rating is more than .5 above or below the event bracket you registered for.
Austin Deaf Pickleball has the right to change event start times or merge any event based on the good of the tournament.
