8.0 DUPR Cap Moneyball at Life Time DUMBO:
Doubles teams will be eligible for the moneyball based on their combined DUPR at the time of registration. If your DUPR goes up/down after registration/payment then that is acceptable. Any team with a combined DUPR of 8.0 or below will be deemed eligible. For example: a 5.0 and a 3.0 are eligible, two 4.0's are eligible, a 3.5 and a 4.5 are eliglbe, etc... Players without a DUPR or NR will be treated as a 2.0
This is a coed moneyball. Mens, womens, and mixed double teams are eligible to participate.
Priority of sign-ups goes to teams of 2, individuals without a partner may be moved to the waitlist and are responsible for finding a partner.
Paddles that are suspected to be delaminated, core crushed or malfunctioning in any manner may be checked by tournament staff and deemed ineligible. If your paddle might be an issue, then bring other paddle(s) that won't be an issue.
General format (subject to change):
Doubles: Pool play with top teams (either 4 or 8) moving to playoffs >> semi-finals >> finals.
Scores will be entered into DUPR, players must have a DUPR account, please connect your DUPR account to PickleballBrackets, PickleballTournaments, Pickleball.com account.
Players in violation of Life Time policy or DUPR policy may be disqualified from, or denied entry into, tournament. Tournament director has authority to penalize, disqualify & ban players/teams for poor behavior. Tournament director has final say in permitting players to play in respective skill levels, this is meant to uphold the integrity of the tournament to make games fun & competitive.
