Format

2 Groups –

Combined DUPR score 13-15.5 “Competitor Division” will play at 8:30am and

Combined DUPR score 15.6-18 “Challenger Division” will begin play around 1:30pm

6 team event: There will be 2 pools of 3 teams (2 matches), followed by top 4 teams entering a medal semi-final and final (2 matches) to determine top 4 finishers. Bottom 2 teams also play in a separate consolation bracket (2 matches) with consolation winner awarded. Each player is guaranteed 8 games. Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and consolation

MLP rally scoring will be used, and a Dreambreaker will occur in the event of a 2-2 tie. Games will be to 21, win by 2. Scoring freeze for any team that reaches 20 so that once a team reaches 20, they may only score on their serve, while the opponents are still rally scoring. The cap on scoring is 25. At 24-24, there will be a sudden death and the next point will win 25-24. One timeout per team per game, and on the end change. Change ends at 11. Teammates can change positions during end changes and time outs. Same rules apply to Dreambreakers, where each player plays 4 rally points then the next player rotates in.

HOW DOES REGISTRATION WORK?

Teams consist of 2 males and 2 females. Please register all 4 players in the group as two separate teams (under gender doubles - example: 2 women register for women's doubles and 2 men register for men's doubles in the correct division), then email your full team with team name to lisaannfarley@yahoo.com. Registration is confirmed after all 4 teammates complete their payment and confirm their team through email.

Please be sure you have added Life Time Castle Creek as one of your DUPR clubs.

Substitutions after close of registration will need to be approved by emailing lisaannfarley@yahoo.com in order to confirm DUPR ratings.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: – April 14, 2024

No refunds or credits for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE.

LOCKER ROOMS:

NO BAGS on the courts - only water in a closed container, paddle and towel are permitted on the courts. There are gender locker rooms available to all participants. Please use the lockers in either the locker rooms or in the lockers at the end of the hallway to secure your valuables.

REFUND POLICY

Withdrawals before April 14, 2024 will receive a full refund minus a $5 cancellation fee (imposed from Pickleball Brackets). Players can be substituted after the close of registration only by emailing lisaannfarley@yahoo.com and confirming DUPR levels.
