*The LPPR (Liga de Pickleball de Puerto Rico) will consist of individual Tournaments for Amateurs and an Open category for those that want to play for Prize Money.

The LPPR will consist of 2 Tournaments in 2024 starting in November and 8 to 10 Tournaments in 2025 to be played in different Clubs around the Island. In 2024, the Tournaments will be played in the Metropolitan area.

The LPPR will distinguish itself by organizing, running and producing the best Pickleball Tournaments in Puerto Rico.

Every LPPR Tournament will set up a minimum of 20 Courts with Professional portable nets on each court.

LPPR Tournaments will be played Thursday thru Saturday.

Thursday (Singles) and Friday (Mixed Doubles) will be played from 5:30 pm to 10 pm. Saturday (Men’s and Women’s Doubles) will be played from 8am to 6pm.

All Categories Finals will be played Saturday afternoon between 3:30 pm and 6pm followed by Medal presentations and Cocktail/Party from 6pm to 9pm

The LPPR will have 2 Junior Singles categories for players ages 8 to 16 years old

Schedule of Events

Thursday, November 14 - Men’s and Women’s Singles – 5:30pm-10:00pm

Friday, November 15 - Mixed Doubles – 5:30pm-10:00pm

Saturday, November 16 - Junior Singles & Men’s and Women’s Doubles – 8:00 am-6:00pm

All Finals for all Categories will be played on Saturday from 3:30pm-6:00pm

Medal Presentations and Cocktail/Party to follow from 6pm to 9pm

Every Player entered who has not played an LPPR Tournament in 2024 will receive a free T-Shirt (1 League T-Shirt for the 2024 season) and free access to the Cocktail/Party on Saturday evening. Player will be permitted to bring an extra guest to the Cocktail/Party for an additional fee.

Format

The tournament will be a round robin format playing to 11 win by 2. Medal Matches will be single elimination playing to 15 win by 2. All FINALS will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

Tournament Pricing:

Registration Fee: $40 per person in all Divisions

Event Fee: $35/per event for Amateur Divisions and $80 for Open Divisions

Junior Divisions: No Event Fee. Only Registration

A Pickleball Brackets Service Fee of $5/event will be added with a maximum of $10 service fee.

A USA Pickleball Certified Referee will be present at the venue to answer player questions and address on-court issues. Referees will be available for Medal Matches.

Tournament Director reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. Brackets may be combined to create playable brackets.

The tournament director reserves the right to cancel or modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (eg. Insufficient numbers in Events, Weather, etc).

Food and beverage will be available for purchase on site. NO coolers allowed.

Players are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs and water bottles.

All players must wear appropriate attire. No tank tops, nor sleeveless shirts for men and no sports bras or bathing suits for women.

Players are allowed to play in a lower age group category

Players can play a higher rating category

Players cannot play a lower rating category

Every Player must have a DUPR Rating

Tournament Organizer reserves the right to combined Categories

All matches will be recorded in DUPR. Therefore, all players are required to open a FREE DUPR account.

**Minimum Prize Money

**Prize Money may increase based on the number of teams/players entered.
